dodgy-alan 1,587
Thanks John, OK i'll give you an easy one. You're in hostile territory, you've got close to an airfield, an aircraft comes in to land, .....but is it freind or foe?......and what is it?
hurricanemk1c 195
Heinkel He-219 Uhu?
dodgy-alan 1,587
LOL, told you it was easy, It certainly is the Heinkel 219. this is the original screenshot of it.... One of the best aircraft of WW2. Had radar, ejection seats and all sorts of other tech on it. Eric (winkle) Brown tested one and said it was a superb aircraft.
hurricanemk1c 195
This one should be easy enough. Funnily enough I'm dismantalling the model of this at the moment, but it will be put back together as I haven't shot it to bits
allardjd 1,853
Low mileage, lovingly maintained and always hangared. Only flown to church on Sundays by a sweet little old lady. ...but I don't know what it is. John

allardjd 1,853
Kind'a looks like a BAC TSR2 to me. John
dodgy-alan 1,587
Most definately!! TSR-2.
J G 927
Gone before I saw it, - A sad end to beautiful aircraft.
hurricanemk1c 195
Correct John A - XR219, the only TSR-2 to fly and shot to bits. Luckily two survive, XR220 (which nearly, nearly, nearly flew!) at Cosford and XR222 at Duxford. XR220 - https://www.flickr.com/photos/111752039@N08/14561457948/in/set-72157645942886735 Over to you then JA!
hurricanemk1c 195
OK - John A has said that he can't post at the moment, so since Alan was the one that confirmed it - over to you!
dodgy-alan 1,587
Oh ok, thanks Kieran, Right this time guys and gals, a slightly tougher one(possibly). What is it? What is it's registration? Where is it?.......This aircraft has been in the same spot for many years.
hurricanemk1c 195
Know it!
J G 927
It looks like a very sick Trident in the 1977 colours. where it is and its registration... I haven't a clue.
dodgy-alan 1,587
You've got the aircraft JG, the reg and location are quite widely known due to what happened to it. ( so now you need to find out where abandoned Tridents are hiding!)
J G 927
is it:- HS Trident 1E, British Airways, G-AVYD, at Bilbao, Spain. I cant think that there were many trident accidents that would have left the aircraft mostly intact. The Bilbao accident was an aborted takeoff so I should imagine that it was that one. dodgy-alan 1,587
Not that one John, it wasn't accidental damage.
hurricanemk1c 195
Well, it might have been accidental if they didn't intend on hitting it with a few rounds!

dodgy-alan 1,587
It is indeed Cyprus, Nicosia in fact, The aircraft is a Trident, so now all we need is the reg,
