dodgy-alan 1,587
I really thought this would have gone by now, one of you has the Airport, One of you has the aircraft type, now all you have to fo is search for that aircraft at that location to find the reg, it's the only aircraft there! J G 927
Someone else will have to kill off this one as I am currently in Norfolk with very limited Internet access.
hurricanemk1c 195
OK, here it is: Trident 2E 5B-DAB (c/n 2155), Nicosia International Airport, 20 July 1974
dodgy-alan 1,587
Thats the one Kieran, she was shot up by the Turkish Air Force and never repaired or flown again. She remains to this day at the abandoned Nicosia Airport which lies in the buffer zone between Turkish and Greek Cyprus. This is the original pic
hurricanemk1c 195
Thanks Alan. Here's the next one. A 339 maybe?

Andrew Godden 943
The VTO concept was a bit of a give away, Kieran. Cheers Andrew
Andrew Godden 943
OK, for what's it worth, I am going to try and keep this 'under wraps'.....not that I think it will make it any more difficult for the pundits. Cheers Andrew

hifly 925
Wrap in foil, put it in a pre heated gas oven at 220 for 25 minutes. Serve at room temperature with a good Chianti.
allardjd 1,853
Not sure what it is but it looks like someone was smoking dope when they came up with that concept. John
dodgy-alan 1,587
It's a lovely little aircraft, I have one in the FS9 sim. I did a feature about it , and others with the single engine/twin tailfins ,last year. I won't hand it to you yet as playing my cards close to my chest!
brett 2,315
I will throw out a guess, Chrislea Super Ace has that engine cowl shape and a single boom/twin tail.
Andrew Godden 943
Well done Brett. Not a lot of people know that the Chrislea Super Ace is one of only a few aircraft in the world to be designed without rudder pedals, this being the UK one and the ERCO Ercoupe being the American one. Well, maybe more people know than what is thought, and such a question 'wouldn't hold a candle' to the pundits in this thread. Over to you. Cheers Andrew
brett 2,315
I didn't understand the need for twin tails on such a small plane, could be because of the lack of rudder pedals and the rudder being somewhat automatic giving it a bit more rudder authority I guess? That out of my league though. Ok, let me scrounge something up, it is getting harder to stump you lot.
brett 2,315
I am not sure what to do here to stump you guys so I will try giving you just the tail for now, although I doubt it will stop you guys. It does sport fixed tri-gear.

Andrew Godden 943
I had to travel all the way to Portsmouth to find this one. It was such a long drive in the car too. In the end, it was the Blackburn Cirrus Major engines which gave it away. Cheers Andrew
