mutley 4,488
News just in from Piran Smith, the lead developer of Flightsim Southwest Design. After reading our review on Penzance Heliport X Piran decided that some improvements could be made so with this in mind he made the following announcement: With just under 2 years since we first released Penzance Heliport X, we thought it would be time for an update. Below is a list of features that we anticipate to include in this new release. We hope to bundle this with our upcoming Plymouth Airport. - Improved apron and markings. - More realistic night effects and landing lights. - New high-resolution painted based image. - Re-modelled heliport buildings with improved texture work. - Additional, accurately placed vegetation and autogen. - Increased peformance and animations. - Improved compatibility with terrain addons (GenX and VFR Real Scenery) No time frame I’m afraid, but there will be screenshots shortly! So keep up to date with its progress here http://southwestdesign.org.uk/swdt
stu7708 244
Well, there was certainly room for improvement at Penzance, so good news I guess.. Wonder if they will release it as an update for existing costumers...
FSSW 0
The general idea Mikael was to release the update to those that already purchase Penzance for free, then release this version at a slightly higher price but remove the old version from JF. Things are progressing well, i hope to have some screenshots tomorrow. P.

stu7708 244
That sounds great Piran. And thanks for the feedback on the review. Joe forwarded it to me late sunday night. It was interesting to get some insight into the considerations made during the development phase as well as getting some understanding of the limitaions you had to work within. Looking forward to seeing the screenshots, and the forthcoming update. Oh, and I almost forgot. Welcome to the Hangar
