M31 0
I'm enjoying P3D very much, but was wondering ... It seems like the next major update will be V2.0 that has promised DX11 shaders ... correct me if I'm wrong, but don't some add ons simply not work with FSX in its DX10 preview mode ... aren't a lot of add ons designed to work in DX9 because that's all FSX could reliably do? i guess we could see total compatible licences like we have with Orbx and P3D and older FSX purchases? I guess they will try to fix DX10 or 11 their end as a free fix? I'm wondering how this will all pan out for future versions of P3D ... much of it relied upon DX11?
mutley 4,487
That's a good point Colin and I guess only answerable by the developers of the sim and the addons themselves. Would LM be worried about backwards compatibility? I would like to think so, I imagine the DX11 option would be switch-able.
