Clem Wu 1
A new addition to my airports, Cessnock Airport. Watch out for the lightning, don't get struck! Enjoy!
brett 2,315
Nice fixed camera view and with that scenery your video looked like the RW vids you always see. I have the C377 and I love the sound it has, very nice aircraft. I wish I could fly it as smoothly as you. Between the update from Carenado and Burt Pieke's mods and fixes from over at Avsim and a few of my own changes, I got it right where I want it.
mutley 4,498
Nice smooth action Clem. You were lucky not to get struck.
Clem Wu 1
Thank you Joe and Brett. And these modifications you listed sound really cool! Thanks for introducing me to them. Just out of curiosity, and if you don't mind me asking, what did you change personally? I have the 337's SP1 installed already.
Sabre 28
Cool video Clem, think I'd have stayed at home with all the lightning around. @Brett I've just acquired the Cessna 337H also so I'd be interested to see what moifications or adjustments you made too
Clem Wu 1
Thanks Graeme, I've located Bert's edits which can be found in various topics in this sub-forum.
brett 2,315
I did have trouble with the option to open the gps with a click on the screen and Carenado tried and failed to fix the problem(works now). I have made so many changes I'm not even sure what I did from the original. I did change the position of a few of the pop ups. To add to the confusion, I was working on the Beaver at the same time. Most of the fixes are to the way the Auto Pilot works and adding a click spot to enable easier pitch/trim adjustments located in the comm unit(the trim wheel is rather low on the console). I made mine blue to match the color of the AP button lighting. Another fix was to correct the word Nav vs Comm on the secondary radio bank. I would give you copies of my Panel and aircraft cfg but I still have a slight glitch when I switch to my 2D panel. My cursor goes buggy, it blinks and shows the MS loading circle, I have to reload the aircraft for it to go away. I'm still learning how to work on this stuff and Carenado makes it harder to play around with their files. SP2 did fix the fuel pump switches, you might have to write the company for it if you did not purchase directly from them. The unoffical forum for the AC is at Avsim. Other than that just a few repaints, RedBull by Tristan Rusch, an all black night fighter by Jan Kees Blom, and another one I'm not sure of the name but is by Richard "Ricardo" Luycx and is titled C337 Skymaster VH-FDB. Does the original Skymaster come with 3D texture mapping in the GPS because I have that too? Hope this helps.
Clem Wu 1
Awesome, thanks for that Brett. I'm just modding the aircraft with the links you have provided. What do you mean by 3D texture mapping though.
brett 2,315
Instead of a flat map look it gives it a 3D look. I have done this to my other GPS units also. I think it gives it a mutch better look and it's a big help when flying in the tight valleys and looking for a way out. It also includes a air traffic radar. The 3Dshader texture and traffic mod was a change I made to the default GPS CAB file that I read about in a forum thread. I'll be happy to make the gauge's availible to you(Box.net link) or if your interested in doing it yourself, check out these links. Add Terrain: http://www.flightsim...rrain-Shadowing Add Traffic: http://www.flightsim...Traffic-Display Not to hard, I was a little confused at first but finally got it. First time messing with CAB files. Well worth it for the outcome. I had to play around to get it to work on the GPS530 but it's the same principle. Make sure to back up the original's
Clem Wu 1
Ah, I understand what you mean now. I downloaded the GPS modifications here - http://aussiex.org/forum/index.php?/files/file/1552-adjusted-default-fsx-gps-gauge/
