mutley 4,498
Scam Alert. Thanks to François Dumas at Computer Pilot for the heads up on this one. Not that long after the shysters were trying to sell the freeware program Flightgear there is a new scam released today. VirtualPilot3d, an elaborate scam, who knows who they are copying, check out the spelling mistakes and the cloned pictures from FSX, it's laughable. So don't be duped, I know you can see though these scams but newbies may not. See the action here. http://www.virtualpilot3d.com/index4.html Cheers, Mut
jaydor 345
Joe I can see they are using ORBX scenery (Bet JV will like that) Gary's UK2000 London City, Carenado's and Just Flight aircraft, the list goes on. Hope the CEO's of these companies take them on? James
mutley 4,498
They have even made spoof reports that it may be spam and reported on sites of their making that it is not a con and it is a recommended purchase. http://www.reviewtest.net/virtual-pilot-3d-review-is-mark-duran-ozil-aguirre-john-irwin-virtualpilot3d-com-scam-or-legit http://www.thisreview.net/virtual-pilot-3d-review-is-virtualpilot3d-com-by-mark-duran-ozil-aguirre-john-irwin-a-scam http://www.reviewcafe.net/virtualpilot3d-review-is-virtualpilot3d-com-scam Well, enough said. pacinka 0
Hilarious! They have screenshots from (I think) 3 different simulators - FSX, X-Plane, and one looks like Falcon BMS!
bochen280 0
Why are sites like these not on the DOD/DHS/ICE domain blacklist? The funny part is where they say: Take a "Take a look at these screenshots and judge for youself!" I recognize one of the "screenshots" as an artist intrepretation of the Boeing 787 cockpit stolen straight from the Boeing website ( http://www.boeing.com/news/frontiers/archive/2005/october/photos/oct_i_ca1.jpg ) I remember because when the 787 was first introduced I saw this pic.... how can it be a screenshot of their game? lol.... BTW with Tineye, and Google reverse image search it makes it much easier to spot fake pics and look up the source of them.... These scammers probably steal your money and make you download a trojan or virus and give you nothing...
allardjd 1,853
...or charge you to get rid of it for you. That's been done. John
hurricanemk1c 195
I laughed at 'Finally you can land on an aircraft carrier' - you can in FS2004 using old AlphaSim freeware that came with their Swordfish, and of course with FSX Acceleration

allardjd 1,853
You know what would be great fun - a tongue in cheek review, pretending it's real but dragging it through the mud as the worst flight sim ever, deceptive advertising, buggy, poor performer, etc. It's not like they could sue.
