mutley 4,498
I agree Chuck, that would be the airshow to be at in the heyday of British aeronautical design!
brett 2,315
Very interesting Joe, thanks for bring it to our attention. It was a hoot to see the real aircraft for a change and compare them to what I have seen in the sim world. The Comet is a real beauty to look at. It also was a real kick to see how folks dressed back then too. It's doesn't seem that long ago(was born around then also) but things sure have changed. Really not up on my aircraft history as I should be, it seems like this was an exciting time in the production of advanced designs and performance. That one fella that was caught filming the show looked awful surprised when noticing he was being filmed....a spy maybe
mike H 456
Thanks Joe for posting this video it takes me right back to the days at Farnborough when the a/c flew low and fast along the flight line. l was very lucky to have seen alot of those aircraft flying at Farnborough from the early 60's It was great as my dad worked for BOAC then with BEA at London Airport in the 50's /60's as it was called then,l got to see alot of their prop. a/c close up. lt would be great to just wind back the clock and see it all over again. Still with video's like this one Joe one can still dream about those Great moments. My Avatar of the Vulcan l took at the last Farnborough air show. Hope to go again this year.
