britfrog 180
i have met kermit weeks on quite a few occasions at popham airfield, and flown him around the local area. When Charles church was killed in his spitfire his estate sold quite a few planes to kermit I suppose no-one knows how many except the estate. However just before charles was killed I counted in his loft at roundwood 9 spitfires and 2 hurricanes which all came from canada. one hurricane as i recall was sold after it was made airworthy in the uk , the others?????????????? However I thought kermits museum would be better than it looks considering the massive amount of dosh he has.

brett 2,316
Great pic's of some well restored looking aircraft. Thanks for sharing. I like the Ford Tri-motor, it's pretty cool looking.

mutley 4,498
Thanks for posting Mike, I may have to try and get one of those bi-plane flights! Luckily I will have a couple of expert guides showing me around Cheers, Joe
allardjd 1,853
Joe, The New Standard D25 is a 5-place biplane with 4 pax in the front cockpit and the pilot in the rear cockpit. Flights in that are fairly reasonable. The Stearman is a one on one experience with a pilot/instructor and is quite a bit more costly. You are, however, permitted to take the controls and actually get a little instruction and hand's on. I've never flown in either but Mr. Austin has gone in the D25 I think. John EDIT: Zooming up the sign in one of the photos, it looks like about $70 for the ride. JDA
