Schweizer over the Canyon

Recommended Posts

Fancied a change from fixed wing, so I decided to pop over the Grand Canyon. Took me about half an hour to get off the ground, apparently helicopters don't like taking off from 6000AGL!

I don't dare try real world helicopter flying, seem like death-traps. They are scary enough when hover taxing near me :yikes:

Fantastic shots Martyn, they really have the wow factor! The lighting in the early shots really do enhance the shot.

I quite enjoy flying helo's but you wouldn't get me up in one in real life (Without sedation that is ! :yikes: )

Cheers

Nice, Martyn. I share your view of helicopters. If God had meant 'em to fly, He'd have given them wings. I'm golad they exist and I know they're useful, but don't care to indulge.

None the less, a very entertaining series of photos. Very well done.

John
