saunder 3
I love it, and I think this one is looking pretty damned good from Milviz...
brett 2,316
Looks very well done to me. How's it fly? Brings me back to the Korean War.....Hey wait...I wasn't in that war....must have been daydreaming.
saunder 3
It flies nice it almost feels heavy on the controls. Come to think of it I was not in the Korean War either bit of a coincidence there, but I have seen one fly and that was the hightlight of my experiences with flight... hurricanemk1c 195
Great shots Saunder - I have the freeware Section-F8 Sabre, and that is fun to fly!
dodgy-alan 1,587
Looks terrific, one of the icons of the 50s, great aircraft well caught.

Come to think of it I was not in the Korean War either bit of a coincidence there, but I have seen one fly and that was the hightlight of my experiences with flight... Thanks for the info, I guess the aircraft handling would feel a bit heavy due to the older flight controls and the less than streamlined fuselage compared to later craft. Could mean that the designers got it's flying characteristics right. The best part of a new sim purchase is getting to learn how to fly it and make it bend to your will and skill. (Sometimes you have to bend to her will ) I always wonder what RW pilots feel about the comparisons between the sim and real aircraft. I agree that seeing any aircraft in the flesh is an exciting experience. Probably explains why we are all here.
wtr49p 0
I love this plane, always have, but just do be different. (ohoh)... I love to look at nice scenery and I only like to fly aircraft in which I like the panel looks and layout. Which are too many to name. The one thing I personally do not care for is the roughing up the panel to look used and worn. I want to get into a plane that has just come off the assembly line or close to it and enjoy the beauty of the whole package. Now look at the wonderful paints of this craft. There gorgeous. Then go inside and see the completely worn out panel. It doesn't go together. I don't like that, which is the reason I probably won't purchase this one even though I love the plane in general. I'll probably get hit on this one, LOL...
allardjd 1,853
it's not too hard to work over the panel bitmaps and make them look better. That's a lot easier than making them look beat-up and worn. John
wtr49p 0
I've never done anything like that. Do you have to have a special program to work on the bitmaps? John wtr49p
allardjd 1,853
Most any graphics editor will do it. Paint.Net is a free one. John

wtr49p 0
Hi John. Thanks for the info on paint.net. Works great. Going to have a lot of fun with this, wish I'd have known about it along time ago. John wtr49p
allardjd 1,853
It's not Photo Shop but it's free, easy to use and does most things pretty well. Glad you're having fun with it. Are you "un-distressing" panels yet? It's easier going that way than the reverse. John
wtr49p 0
Ya, I've been doing some stuff like that and writing my name on the panels, just messing around and learning a little about it. It's a cool app. John wtr49p
