Plan-G is a free VFR flight planner for MSFS series, P3D and X-Plane. It’s been available since 2008, from http://www.tasoftware.co.uk. The current release (3.2.2) gives access to MSFS through SimConnect or FSUIPC There is also a public alpha of v4 available through the forum. v4 is a major overhaul to the program, the main benefit to MSFS users is that it can read MSFS nav data, whereas the current release version relies on having data available from another sim. So, which build do I need? With one exception, 32-bit will do just fine. That exception is building a database for M

For anyone who may be having connectivity problems with the new sim, it could be down to your router not having the correct ports open. You may have been through this before with FS2004, FSX, or P3D. We covered this topic when the old FSX Gamespy multiplayer service was terminated and we all had to connect directly. Jess wrote a guide at the time here .. Here's a brief summary. Before you can forward a port you need to know the following things: Your router's IP address. Your FS machine's IP address. The TCP and UDP ports that need to be forwarded. IP address

We had to rely on the Simvision addon for Carenado so I expect it doesn't come with it?

We're already there James. it's a requirement of this forum

Carenado seem quite happy to tweak their models to show in a new sim e.g 2004 -> FSX -> P3D and now MSFS but some of the fundamental flight functions do not always work. I would be real happy if they build a new model from the ground up within the new SDK (when it's finished).

There are still issues with LNM, Plan-G now builds its database directly from MSFS in 64bit, it takes a couple of extra actions to fully implement the new MSFS version but it is all explained on the Plan-G forum. The latest version is available here http://www.tasoftware.co.uk/forum/index.php?board=13.0 only visible if you log in to their forums (which is free!)

Thanks for the update Sherm -
This beta release provides initial compatibility for the new Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS) 2020 and the beta release of FSUIPC7 7.0.0. It is not compatible with other flight simulators (FSX or P3D) or earlier versions of FSUIPC. This beta version provides limited functionality with MSFS 2020 and FSUIPC7 beta. Only LINDA default MSFS library functions can be used. Most original FSX Controls and FSUIPC offsets are available. Due to fact the MSFS 2020 SimConnect not providing access to Lvars, only the MSFS default aircraft functionality is available (use LIB: MSFS Default when assig

Hi Rem, there's a way to go yet to get the default aircraft fully exact, just like previous iterations, but what is in place is the basis for some great flight models from the likes of A2A, the new sim is far more life-like than previous versions.
