Nope, no metal left in the body The twisted irony is that since I grabbed a gun and shot back and therefore the arm was away from the body the shrapnel sliced through the arm and that was that. Had the arm been closer to the body I'd have taken a body hit. Anyways, we completed the first medical supply convoy on the last weekend in May. First time ever I ever drove a truck for three days flat - quite an exhausting experience.

If that was a canon, all you could shoot would be vermin, considering where it's pointed at. I agree, it looks like tug driver with severe spatial awareness issues.

Costs aren't deducted once a month, but on the day you started. So if you start your comapny on the 2nd of May, every second day of the month the rent for your first base will be deducted. If you leased your first additional plane at the - let's say - 8th of May, every 8th day of the month the leasing rate will be deducted. Lots of cash disappering sounds as if a leasing rate or a loan interest was deducted. AH has a lot of bugs, but disappearing cash isn't one of them, so you might just have missed that a big-ish lease rate was collected.

I'm back in ze Fatherland. Took some shrapnell in the right arm, when we were gunned down by two helicoper gunships of the Assad troops near Dara'a, but the main objective was reached. We established contacts to activists in Turkey, Iraq and Syria and are currently organizing a supply convoy with medical supplies and anti-.gas measures (masks and decontamination supplies). I'll be back down in Syria in two weeks time - this time behind the wheel of a supply truck.

Visum for Jordan came in today. I'll be off tomorrow. Unfortunately Americaland can't be arsed to end the genocide in Syria - probably to few oil to warrant the effort. Unlike Obama I won't sit on my fat arse watching Assad slaughter his own people. Time to fight the bastard. See ya, folks.

Yes, the Ac had been in storage since 2005 and was supposed to be ferried to the Samara factory (the one that built the last ever TU-154M in 2007) for an extensive overhaul. Capitan Rodionov earned himself a reputation in Russia with this that can be compared to Cpt. Sullenberger's in Americaland. You can see him trying the first approach at around 4:50, which doesn't work out and he has to 'fly' another circle during which (at 06:08) he actually does a 360 in the the air!!! Say what you want about Russian aviation, but Rodionov has cojones made of tritanium

Nope it was quite real. Was all over Russian news in spring 2011. How he straightened the thing, I don't know as it happened behind the trees. My guess is he didn't and after slamming her on the tarmac straightened her our using the front wheel steering. If the landing would've been tacked on from a different flight, we would've heard the thrust reversers.

As a fan of russian Aviation this chilled me to the bone. A Tupolev Tu-154 on a ferry flight to Samara goes bonkers, when the ABCU (automatic control unit) goes nuts and the pilots have to try wrestle back control with nothing but differential throttle Enable subtitles is you don't speak russian. Some heavy duty Russian swearing in this and the most unstabilized approach you'll ever see

For those interested in this beast - there is a brilliant FS2004 model of it by Dmitri Samborski It was also adapted to FSX IIRC, An absolutely brilliant plane. Just make sure you have something like 10.000ft runway

Since AH's weather downloading is broken, it always starts the flights in CAVU conditions, which is extremely infuriating when flying in Germanyland. Since predominant winds come in from the atlantic, many German airports only have ILS's for 2x runways. and approaches to easterly runways are often long-winded and convoluted, but somehow FS2004 insists on east-approaches in wind-less conditions for most airports, which is why I configure real-world wheather as soon as FS9 has loaded, so I won't have to hand fly every bloody approach.
