  1. Thanks Guys, He bought it off Ebay which set my alarm bells ringing straight away. I had a feeling it was something a bit dodgy. I know he means well so won't tell him he's been ripped off. I'll just file it with all the other Sims he keeps finding!
  2. I've been given a 5 disc set for Christmas by my Father in Law entitled, FlightSim 2017. No information with it, no packaging , just the 5 discs in sleeves which he apparently bought on line. I know nothing about the sim, how much space it needs, op system etc. Is it compatible with other formats? I haven't loaded it yet until I find out more about it. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance, Alan.
  3. They are great aircraft, very versatile trash haulers.
  4. If that nutcase gets his hands on the nuke key then every bugger will die anyway! I just hope that his government etc make the silly sod see sense before he starts WW3.
  5. Great pics, Last time I saw a Connie flying was at Biggin Hill many years ago. It was John Travoltas old aircraft, now permanently grounded in a Korean Museum from what I gather.
  6. LOL! I built two of them, but since I turned it's cloak on, I can't find the other bugger!
  7. As many of you will no doubt have heard, Carrie Fisher passed away today after her heart attack. She was just 60 years old. I remember seeing her in the 1975 film Shampoo where she was a forward young hussy who asked Warren Beatty if he wanted to f***! She was gorgeous then and it was obvious that this young starlet was going places. Little did I realise just how far she was going to go! To Star Wars fans everywhere, including myself, she will always be remembered as the beautiful Princess Leia. A star has truly gone out of our world and she will be sorely missed. RIP Carrie, May the force be
  8. Using the USS Voyager kit as a basis, The USS Herne is named for the Celtic Warrior/God. She has additional sensors, a cloaking device and captured Dominion technology to enable her to penetrate deep into the Delta Quadrant with little fear of detection. Even if sensors pick her up the light absorbing paint job means she can't be seen on view screens until its too late! The ship is operated by Section 31, The Black Ops section of Starfleet. She does not appear on any Star Trek ship listing and is designed to operate in the shadows. The model took me over a month to build as I wanted to get it
  9. Hello Simon, welcome to the forum. .......................among our traditions is the fact that the newest member buys the next round! Mine's a Single malt!
  10. Marie and I met Rick some years ago when we were working at Booker Airfield. Marie was manning the museum shop whilst I was out in the hangar cleaning an aircraft down. I saw Rick come through the door and go into the shop so went over to say Hello, It would seem he was looking for a leather jacket of which we had several for sale. Unfortunately for Rick all of them were in pristine condition and he wanted something that looked more "distressed." We had a brief chat about general stuff and then he left. At which point Marie turned to me and said, " He looked familiar but I can't place him."
  11. Looking at the footage I too thought she was overweight, the 727 is normally a sprightly performer but this aircraft clearly had issues right from the start.
  12. Airfix's 1/72 scale Short Skyvan. Thought Captain Coffee might like this lot. All built a few years ago, indeed the Omani one is about 20 years old now. The green and white one is a purely speculative self designed livery. Thanks for viewing.
  13. Wishing you all the very best for Christmas and the New Year.
  14. Happy Birthday John, Have a great day, guess that means you get two lots of presents then!
  15. I have several freeware S330s and the cockpits are all very similar to this one. As you say for a payware model you'd expect better attention to detail. That said, great captures of this lovely aircraft. She may look ungainly, but she more than pulls her weight in the load lugging stakes.
  16. Merry Christmas to you too Rosario.
  17. Always had a soft spot for the "Five ton budgie". They are superb aircraft a great trash haulers. Always delightful to fly in FS as well. These shots capture the rugged nature of these aircraft. Nicely done Matt.
  18. It swings round when you remove the cowling for access to the back of the engine.
