You need to know if you have a PCI-E slot on your motherboard and a power supply that can power the card enough.

2 quid gone to waste then, but least i've got a spare

It was left for 8 days, long enough? Also, i hid the battery, the cap and SATA cables in an envelope (ESD bag) in my secret drawer (the very top drawer, hint hint)

Same as JF: Hi, To prevent my brother having a sneep peak on my computer whilst I was on holiday, i removed the onboard battery, the CMOS cap and all SATA connections from the mainboard. I then replaced them all after a week, and now the system does not boot. I tried clearing the CMOS in the usual way, but no avail. What has the clumbsy Robbie done?? Help appriciated
