Hi M8, I will post some more info on my system as and when, only installed Call of Duty 4 so far which is pulling an amzing 180 - 250 FPS, but won't load multiplayer as there is a bug and it doesn't like the Realtek sound drivers. In regards to Creative Soundcards, it's not just Novatech it is everywhere as Creative Labs has pulled out of Europe as the demand for their cards was only in High End Gamers machines due to better on board sound these days, there isnt much call for sound cards.

Hi Rob, I found the following post on Just Flight Forum and I am hoping thats what I need to do to transfer my company to a new machine...

That's pretty impressive Phil, well done! Thanks m8, It's been an uphill struggle since that AI pilot messed up the reputation, but getting back on track now, been doing at least one flight myself each night. I fly with the time set to real time and the weather downloading from the net, although I haven't worked out how to get that to stay on as default and have to set it each flight. Had an amazing flight into the Alps last night, extremely steep approach and even harder getting back out, not sure where it was, that's the beauty of AH  Giving my AI plenty of time now to comple

Hi Rob, Had a quick look for this one, the 200 is one of the earlier 737's, I prefer the 800 myself although I don't think there was a cargo variant of these second generation 737's. I was flying the Airbus A321, but it suffered from a strange problem, just as you were about to land the nose would dive on me dropping the aircraft through the floor, haven't a clue why as the Boeing has never done this on me. Not quite up to the larger 747's or 380's yet, hopefully be trying these soon.

Hi Guys, Just updated SlimAir Logistics Website again, hope you are following the blog still as base expansion has restarted and further purchases of planes and hiring of pilots will hopefully start again this week. http://web.me.com/slimnasty/SlimAir_Logistics/Welcome.html SlimAir Logistics is proud to announce it is now the 11th largest Air Hauler operation in the world in regards to number of bases and should reach the top ten within the next few weeks.

Hi Guys, Thought I would start a new thread where people can post recommendations on actual cargo plane variants for others to obtain, these can be freeware or payware, which ether you prefer. I wanted to start this as I am after a decent cargo version of a Boeing 737 (My preferred aircraft) and wanted to see what people suggested. I look forward to seeing where this thread goes...

Hi Guys, With the immanent build of a new PC, hopefully next week I need to consider my AI, not sure if I want to re-install WOA as there are some glitches with this, although it is fantastic. So I am considering MyTraffic 2010 or Ultimate Traffic 2, although the later is still not out on disc which is really frustrating. Looking at the two, MyTraffic 2010 seems to generate more traffic and have more liveries, my concern is that on Aerosofts own website they state the following: This enormous number also counts on the fact that My Traffic 2010 is not "very active" in North America and West

Hi Guys, Well spotted, all sorted now... I was sure I copy and pasted that too, ah well it is fixed now so all is right in the FSX world now :great: Hang on a mo, something wrong with the world of Internet today, won't let me update my AH stats or upload the site amendments, rebooted my router and still the same, will try again tonight.

Hi Martin, I think budget is going to restrain me from getting any of the high end cards and I am probably leaning towards a nVida 275 card now as they are reasonably priced, the ATI alternative for me would have to be 4890 and I don't think there is a lot between them, so a change to nVidia isn't a bad thing, I hope lol... I am also restricted as to what I is in stock around the 15th of this month or what I can get in stock around that date, as want to build it and use over Christmas.

For some reason he just stopped and AH failed a load of jobs because of it, still unsure why, but it damaged the companies reputation massively so I thought it would add a good story to the mix, so he was disaplined over a few days then worked his notice before being sacked. I am still trying to get my reputation back. Not getting enough time as been quite busy at work, will get there soon. I am toying over paying off one of my Airbus A321's or taking out a lease on an Airbus A380 Cargo as one of my pilots should rank up very soon... Just breaking out of Europe too, so Phase 3 is in its earl

Just finished updating the site with some more data, blog and images... wander across to have a look when you have a free few moments...

It has been interesting seeing what people have put here and on other forums which I have been scanning and it has steered me in a different direction as originally I was going to go crossfire purely to increase graphics memory for FSX, but it doesn't seem to make a different, so by not going that route I will save

nice rig I pretty much load AH everyday, but not necessarily FSX, but FSX is the only game which is struggling on my PC, you can hear it creek... I'm pretty sure I can't afford your CPU, so will probably end up with the i7 920 @ 2.66GHz as it supports triple channel memory where as the i7 860 whilst running at 2.8GHz only supports dual channel. So the i7 920 will let me add 6GB of ram in triple channel mode which can only help. In regards to graphics I have been ATi for so many years I think the last nVidia card I had was a voodoo.... lol. I can only assume that nVidia works better with F

Hi M8, I have had a quick look on there, seems hard to find latest cards with FSX data, but it certainly looks like the nVidia cards run FSX better, but it was interesting to read that CPU is very important for FSX too, I may have to push for a i7 2.66Ghz instead as I should get better performance with that... I have until January to decide, but whatever I buy/build it will need to last me a few years....

Hi Guys, I am looking to put another PC in the home in the new year (Mid January). I have pretty much decided on spec in a rough way sort of way as follows: either iFire Pro: http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/pc/range/ifire.html or iRiss Pro http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/pc/range/iriss.html However I am considering swapping out the Graphics card as I have always been ATI based here, but on searching the net a lot of forums suggest FSX runs better on an nVidia card, but these forums do look out of date as they are all talking about older cards. What I was planning is putting two SAPP

Hi Guys, I have just updated the site with some more information. You will now see a NEW PAGE which details a top 10 list of cargo and passenger airports around the world in 2008 with data collected from Wikipedia. I have also updated the About, Pilots, Blog and Base Photo pages. Currently I have 25 bases in Europe, 15 Planes and 14 AI Pilots. Keep enjoying and read up on the blog, all suggestions welcome...
