I have rarely been involved with flightsims for the past year due to other commitments and have now started to build a new suitable computer, I have a mid range system at the moment and I would say that I have looked at Flight with an open mind and did not cast any assumptions before trying it. I gradually worked my way through the live account problems and yes they were frustrating, I found that it performed quite well on my system, but I soon got bored and have not been back on since, so it looks like back to fsx. It is obviously aimed at the console gaming market and not simulation Wingit

Anyone Bought the Codemasters F1 2010 Console Game ?
wingit replied to GabethePilot's topic in General
I think you are right when it comes to the graphics Singapore did look awesome, the graphics are absolutely mind blowing, but once again the fact that you mentioned the lack of replay function is what I mean. I think the fact that the lack of being unable to use a mouse in the menus says console game to me. I think that's the great thing about FSX is not only it's graphical ability but the functions are never ending and that is similar to ArmA 2 and the never ending ability to move the game forward with some of the most realistic warfare graphics and game play. I am not even sure if F1 2010 wi -
Anyone Bought the Codemasters F1 2010 Console Game ?
wingit replied to GabethePilot's topic in General
Well heres my efforts, the son brought it down when he visited this weekend. Typical of codemasters some fantastic graphics and I don't run them on their full capability, but it didn't live up to what I thought it was looking like it was going to be, it does border on the console side of gaming great graphics and it just feels like they have tried to add a little something to keep the pc simulation world happy.. Just my opinion mind you, but I won't be rushing out to buy this one. -
Not sure if this is the right place for this but can someone tell me why when using ILS into Cardiff you end up slightly to the right?

Finished Sept: Theme = Battle of Britain
wingit replied to mutley's topic in Screenshot Contests Archive
Well for me this is what I think of when thinking of the Battle of Britain... I think it's with watching the film -
Thank you for your comments, yes it is the Iris one and what a challenge to land, visibility out of the cockpit alone was enough to make it hard work, but a pleasure doing the screenshots. I was lucky enough to be shown around one at RAF Finningley. The Brother in Law was in the RAF and got us on board after an Airshow, and the feel of the cockpit in this model is just like going into the cockpit of the real thing that terrible visibilty is replicated brilliantly. Yes before anyone says anything it was along time ago I know!!

Well the last of something beautiful and I have eventually managed to work my way through all the aircraft so the last one and if you happen to have a glance on here Dad, yes see I could land it, Just! A few shots from two seperate flights so slightly mixed weather conditions..

Its not working on mine tried everything, maybe I should reinstall it.
-
The / key does not work neither does the button I have set on the joystick.
-
But to be fair this is not an easy aircraft to land.. Does anyone know how to get rid of the reticle on the sight and what key operates the damned air brake?

The cockpit is what you expect to see when you look into the cockpit of an aircraft it is an excellent job, not sure about everyone else but all my flying is from the cockpit the only time I do an external view is for a screenshot so I am finding the quality of the cockpit for me is everything. and also the pilot animation is also excellent.

Yes the last one there with all the spitfires on looks almost real.. Generation x Uk2000 airfields and Earth Simulations trees

Would be great to see the pics the most I have seen fly together is 9 and it does bring a lump to your throat...
-
Hope you enjoyed the show. I have been many many times, seen some amazing aircraft fly including this one. Was the display line up what you expected and what you wanted to see? Even though just looking at the aircraft being renovated is a great experience.

Thought seeming Joe was at Duxford this weekend thought I should fly from there. The main thing is that it was free for me using freeware, and freeware that probably has one of the most realistic looking cockpits I have seen and that includes payware.

I think you will find that the USA built it there so that they don't need the bases in the UK any more.

Thank you for your comments. I think looking at it, it is fun and it's got a great feel about it, great feeling of acceleration, but you look at it sometimes and can't but think "why the hell did they use textures that give it shiny wheels" and at times in the cockpit you just can

That's not fsx they are real photos... That's quality what scenery is that..

It's Razbam's Convair F-102 Delta Dagger

I really enjoyed flying this and actually got a reasonable trouble free flight, including a reasonably accurate landing with it! and I know there are better out there with better graphics but this felt good it felt powerful and responsive..
