  1. Thanks for that as I thought it was my computer Should've passed QC first before releasing it
  2. I shall be downloading it tonight after work. Although, I was tempted to do a "Sickie" and not go into work
  3. Looks fantastic However, looks alittle too green for this time of year I suspect you selected 'Summer Time'
  4. Thank you for your kind comments Added a couple more
  5. I'm waiting for the free Essentials update ( Whenever that will happen ) and I would be disapppointed if the overall update is marginally better than original REX 2.0 like you said. I'm very tempted to get ActiveSky 2012, but been reading from various users that REX2.0 has better Clouds textures. No doubt ActiveSky is still crowned for it's weather depiction which I still use ActiveSky X - REX 2.0 for Clouds/Sky textures.
  6. Hi Joe, hope you are well and thanks for your reply. I also been looking at the 5 series and came across the 560 ti 448 cores which is suppose to be faster than the standard ti. However, I hear that the ATI HD 7850 is quite good in terms of price/performance.
  7. I finally upgraded to a i5 2500k overclocked @ 4.4Ghz along with a Gigabyte Z77X - D3H mobo and 8 gig of ram. Today, I ordered a Benq 22" G2222HDL 1080P monitor to replace my 7 yrs old 19" 4.3 1280/1024, and am wondering if my GTX 285 will cope with playing FSX at 1080P? Also, what GC would you recommend for both price and performance at £200 if I were to upgrade.
  8. Purchased this little beauty from unfamiliar Mogwaisoft called ' Shade for FSX ' My god, you be amaze how much better the sceneries look with this shade modification. Makes the landscape look more real and almost 3D like I highly recommend this awesome add-on 100% . 9. Apologies all round for my long absent as I been busy with life in general. Anyway, I finally updated my ageing 8800GT by purchasing a secondhand Asus ENGTX285 for an excellent price of £58. Cannot say how please I am with this upgrade - running FSX in all it's glory with acceptable frame rate. I've noticed that the 285 is extremely friendly with Clouds with hardly no frame rate hits, unlike my old 8800GT which did suffer with heavy Clouds formations. Now running GTX285 with my Phenom II X4 955 BE at stock speed. Still debating whether to oc my CPU as I'm happy as it is. I'm not a heavy game
  10. I am wondering the same thing. Currently have a 8800GT, but it's starting to show it's age.So, decided to look at the GTX 295 which you can get surprisingly cheap, but researching on Google, the 295 have serious issues with FSX due to it's dual GFX chip and doesn't preform well. Despite this, am now looking at getting the GTX 285 which got rave reviews.
