Leg 94: Vienna, Schwechat (LOWW) - Austria, Innsbruck (LOWI)

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys... just realised it was my turn! :blush Was so in awe of our previous leg that i totally forgot that i was up next. Sorry for the delay fellas, i'll get my bags packed and get down to the airport...

I also have a sinking feeling that i forgot to reserve me an aircraft, so will have to blag one from a friend.... no doubt it'll be a tin crate again, just bear with me for a while!

Will try to post the next leg soon as i can, although it may be late Friday/Saturday before i can get it posted.

Apologies again

Simi

Hi all, just an update to let you all know I'm safely down at Innsbruck. Our trusty steed had a few tech issues en-route, but nothing major... @*$%^% tin crate... anyway, i'm going to be uber-busy the next few nights as we've a slew of birthdays over the next 3-5 days (including mine on Friday!) in the family, so there's too many parties to attend, but i'll get the photos uploaded at the very 1st opportunity!

Keep 'em peeled guys!

Simi

Thanks Simi,

It's good to know you got there safely, please post your report as soon as you can :wow:

We seem to be having a problem this time around with delays. Can I remind members of the 96 hour rule? You don't have to wait until it's your turn to fly the leg, you can always pre-fly the leg and post when it is due. :stars:

AirbusLad it's over to you.

Cheers

sorry about the delays in getting these up fellas, and my apologies Mut for holding up the challenge, consider my wrist well and truly slapped about! :blush

here they are, nothing of real spectacle here... just a lovely old Rusky-bird tincan.... i mean Anotov AN-2 'Anushka' and some breathtaking weather formations... all flown real time with AS6 weather.

oh, and i was in such a tizzy about missing my turn to start, that i took off and forgot to load the screenshot taker, so im very sorry to say we've no rotate and climb-out shots, my bad!

Simi,

Two things...

1) Nice work. I enjoyed it.

2) Guess what AC I was planning to fly for my next ATWC leg? Uncanny.... :mrhappy:

Well, you did good. Nice flight and very good photos. The

They are excellent shots Simi, very enjoyable and a beautiful aircraft.

Shame about the lost RT but we will let you off this time as I guess you are in mid party season

Don't worry about using the AN-2 again John, just have a look and see how many 737's have flown so far :mrhappy:

Thanks for getting us safely to Innsbruck Simi.

Cheers

no probs Joe, was a pleasure.... and so was the flight. traveling at a leisurely 86Kts at full pelt really gives you chance to sit back and take in the surrounding natural beauty of the Austrian Alps, and the AN2 is absolute pleasure to fly, lovely aircraft with great handling characteristics, cant fault it at all!

thanks again for the kind comments fellas!

Well done, Simon - glad you got there safely! Did you follow the motorways?!? Like joe said, pity the radio broke - do get it mended for your next flight - it can be very lonely up there, not being able to talk to anyone......

Loved the moody skies - and both airports were very colourful.

Thanks for sharing - cheers - Dai.

thanks Dai,

yeah, we tried to follow the autobahns as much as possible, but at our leisurely 86Kts, i'm sure we'd have been overtaken a few times by the locals down below in their rather more comfortable cars!

Fantastic Post, simi! The sky really gives a great effect to the first few shots!

Sorry this reply is late. I am replying to all the fantastic legs completed while I have been absent!

Best Regards,

George : Tap
