hurricanemk1c 195
Welcome one and all to my first ATWC leg! After allardjd (John)'s very sucessful run, we take up the challange once more. Departing from Palma, we will fly under IFR rules but only at 14000ft. Route is direct GPS in FSX. Please don't come to me about AA settings!!!!! So here we are, parked up at Palma in our steed, the default 737-800. Just getting clearance from Palma Clearance Now here we are pushing back with engines starting Sorry, forgot the taxi shots! So here we are. Now asking ATC for take-off clearance Lining up And again And, POWER! Rotate And from the tower Climbing out with postitive rate, gear coming up We start our climb to 6000ft Of course, the co-pilot has a camera, but this is the only shot he will get Looking back over Palma Airport That's one nice island! Cruise Getting our vectors now You can see Gibraltar on the map Turning Going over Gibraltar now Coming in now for a runway 9 approch Touchdown! A round of applause from the passengers as I complete my first ATWC leg! Everything hanging Taxing at my own accord as Gibraltar doesn't have parking (so says FSX) Just stopped Then I wonder, wheres the baton??? Phew, it's behind me! Cold and dark, the 737-800 Waiting for the stairs, before we realised we had to use own own stairs! So here we are, at Gibraltar. We are now waiting for Panos95 to get here in who knows what!!! This is my first leg so please bear with me Hope you all enjoyed it Kieran
allardjd 1,853
Very, very good post. Nice use of the ATC window to keep us in the picture. I really enjoyed your flight. Good work all around. I note that the Gibraltar scenery shows "the rock" much better than FS9, as seen (or more correctly, not seen) in my Casablanca flight. Nice to see it's still there. I am replying to all the fantastic legs completed while I have been absent! Best Regards, George : Tap
