Bruce (a.k.a. brian747) 142
I have used ImageShack to host my online images for years, so I wasn't overjoyed to receive an email directing me here: https://imageshack.com/promo OK, $2 US a month isn't a fortune, but I'm surviving (just!) on a few fragments of pension so it's enough to make me think about free alternatives — has anyone any recommendations? Existing images will allegedly continue to be hosted, but as of Feb 1st (hmm, a week today) free subscribers will no longer be able to upload anything new without paying. We do get an option to join for $1 a month, although how long that price will be held isn't defined, as far as I could see. Cheers, B.

allardjd 1,853
A lot of folks have bashed it, but I'm +4 for PhotoBucket. I've only had problems twice, once briefly, one solved by their tech support people. John
mutley 4,495
Same here, we go back about 10 years and only a couple of glitches which only appear to occur when they update their site and make it more flashy with features I do not need/use.
brett 2,310
I like Photobuckets free bulk uploader and ease of use in. I haven't used Imageshack in many months because it is not as easy to use and I kept getting those virus popups when signing in. I am surprised they are going to start charging considering all the advertising that is on the site. They also got rid of years of images that I had there last time I checked. No thanks Imageshack, even with the new updates.
