Short haul cargo flight with Vorona Aviation....

Recommended Posts

As George (TAP) can't upload his ATWC leg before Friday, I wondered whether you would like to see some screen shots I made recently, flying Vorona. You may remember the DC-3 from my last ATWC Leg from Venice to Corsica, well here she is again. This flight is from Aspen to Denver, both Colorado, I'm not sure what's exactly on the manifest, but it has to be something to do with ski-ing, there's not much else in Aspen.......

Like John, I got up an hour early because I forgot the clocks went forward, so here we are, trying to make the pre-flight checks (and the coffee!) last as long as possible.....

Soon, the Aspen ATC took pity on us, and gave us clearance to take off:

It's really rocky round here - not much snow, though - Spring has sprung:

Making the turn to fly east towards Denver:

Our co-pilot is reminded of Snowdonia:

Or, maybe, the Lake District?

You do get glorious sunsets around here:

Denver Intl (KDEN) Tower has cleard us for 34L, so here we go, over the suburbs:

The Dizzie almost lands itself, she's so well behaved:

And it's a short - but complicated! - taxi to the unloading point:

Hope you enjoyed that little Intermission........

Cheers - Dai.

Hello Dai.

It's great seeing a screenshot post form you, I really enjoyed it.

As for Spring having sprung at the we have got an average wind speed here of 55 mph with gusts to 80 had to dodge some fallen trees on the way into work. It's going to get worse later on the south coast :thum:
