Tater chips Just to let you know, today being Friday and at the end of a busy and productive week my colleague and I treated ourselves to a burger, chips and coleslaw for lunch. Now this wasn't any old burger as the proprietor of this place is an American and boy he knows how to make them, these are the best burgers I've ever had. J G 927 Posted November 22, 2013 Report Share Posted November 22, 2013 Desert sky. (I was once trying to kip in the Sahara desert and couldn't as it was to hot*. So I ended up looking at the milky way which was outstanding as there was no light pollution whatsoever. ) * Yes I do know the temperature is supposed to drop like a stone at night in deserts. Where I was, was in the middle of a heat wave at the time and 55 degrees in the middle of the day. So it did cool a lot, but not enough to make it comfortable to sleep well. having said that the days were 'king unbearable. We really did have a rule 2 "I don't want to catch anyone not drinking". At first I thought it was mist but as it didn't move I realised what it was. Couldn't help wondering if I was looking into the centre or the outer galaxy. Beautiful. Simple pleasures.
