MyPC8MyBrain 273
Thanks guys its looks like im moving to the next stage already this thing is so steady and powerful; it's scary I'm on eBay and craigslist looking for a GoPro unit and a Gimbal to hold it it's going to hurt quite a bit to complete this package; but i will do it slowly I'll need to get the gopro cam and a broadcast station of some sort im looking into the FatShark googles as they seem to be the right solution for what im looking to do i had a close call yesterday; taken off my top balcony (made myself little pad); first few minutes i was just having fun then i flown it way up; further than this video shows (it can climb close to 3k ft) it was ok until i lost my north with it; and it started going everywhere; accept where i wanted to i had to calm myself down; and with nothing but a dot in the sky; i started moving it back and forth learning which way is face; then turning it around slowly and brining her back to the landing pad i was recording this; half way through i just cut it; i had to focus on bringing her back i was shaking from the adrenalin rushing through from now on, line of sight until i get the added gear this is what im planning on achieving eventually (before i can move to the next phase) (this guy runs with the FhatShark googles)
MyPC8MyBrain 273
couldn’t help it, here’s one more from today (1080HD)
hifly 925
Nice one Chris, it looks like a flying coffee table. Maybe you should put some eyes on springs on top and really freak out the neighbours. Any more range on that and you'll need ATC clearance to fly it. Nice views you have there and how about a selfie on the next vid or do you wish to remain an enigma?
MyPC8MyBrain 273
Thanks Geoffrey that coffee table is going to have a cam under it soon i cant wait to fly this thing in First Person View this is it; as close as it can get to flying you strap these goggles on and your there nothing else exist; your flying in the real world no FPS issue; no texture issues; only battery issues FAA is already tightening the belt on this hobbie i can get few miles range of control with video out the box its 2 mile control; 1 mile video few upgrades and you can go up to 11 miles easy with good FPV gear my phone is too old to take a selfie (3GS); and im way to ugly to be in one
mutley 4,498
Ah great second show, that other demo fight certainly gives a target to aim for. I wonder how many people think their personal space is being abused? Thanks for sharing Chris, very entertaining.
TheeAviationist 18
lol it sounds like a flying beehive.
MyPC8MyBrain 273
you're very welcome Joe i can definitely see people getting nervous their privacy can be very easily invaded; no questions about it most will never know; since we walk all day with our heads facing earth not the sky but its a reality we live in everyday; satellite takes pictures Google truck drives around and films HD footage of everything strange world we're living in today it looks like some sort of permit is being drafted for this new hobby i already know i need a Ham-radio lic to operate in low frequency's here in CA i don't know the details; i was told by the shop owner i bought my gear from one of the pioneers of the field was recently (one month ago) convicted by the FAA he was fined and other steps were taken against him; i don't think he can fly them again he was an extreme case when it comes to pushing personal drone's to their limits all i know he had to sell all his gear to keep up with the lawyers bills and i missed the bargain of a life time when he unloaded his gear (sorry little shadenfroid)
