I wonder if that's the same aircraft that the Warplane Heritage Group at CYHM had in bits in their big hangar at Mount Hope back in the '70s. I believe the carcas had been recovered from someplace like Labrador - it was a white hull. However, I'm using some really old brain cells to drag this stuff up. I left there around 1980.

Thanks, Nigel. Guess who's at Eastbourne a week too late on the 23rd and a week too early for Shoreham?!? Shee-Yit!

Maybe I'll hear them, though...

Cheers - Dai. old-git:

Hoping to be at Shoreham on the 31st with Club Lotus. If anyone is coming please come over and say hi.

I believe it is the same aircraft March - the Lancaster (FM213) was in all-white colours at one time (ie the last time it went to Iclenad actually!)

Thanks Kieren,

In that case it's quite an accomplishment. Last I saw the a/c it was a hull and a stack of wings/parts all piled against the back wall of the hangar. My apologies to the rebuilders for doubting their ability to complete the project.

It still has to be a little nerve-wracking to go feet-wet over the tall-wet behind piston engines. It was done a lot in the past, of course, but Mother Nature is a bitch and things that go "boing-boing" break sooner than things that go "Hmmmmm".
