mutley 4,498
Hi Patrick, The train station is right next to the airbase, see below for the train station sign. (Click on the image to make it bigger) The exhibition hangar is just below the pointer. (RAF Cosford) I would say the distance is about 3/4 mile. I am not sure how mobile you are so you may want to check the access. Unfortunately I am not available Saturday night but I look forward to meeting you. All the best, Joe
patrico 8
thanks Joe, you were right..............phew! I would have gone there and have been able to get off the train, they had even sold me 2 train tickets from London to Cosfford return (assholes) I have to get a refund, but I am still coming .They are taking me off at Albrighton and getting me a taxi to Cosford station. On the return they are taking me back by cab to Wolverhampton all the cab fares they pay for ( helps to know your disability rights lol ) Hope the venue itself is accessibile
mutley 4,498
Hi Patrick, You just never know with train stations, well done on planning the journey and the alternate travel arrangements. Here is the link to the accessibility page http://www.rafmuseum.org.uk/cosford/plan-your-day/accessibility.aspx I think you will be ok, there are no stairs to get into Hangar 1 and the exhibition is all on one level. By the way, I owe you a letter of thanks for your kind donation (again) so please accept this with my sincere thanks. I look forward to meeting you. Joe

Christopher Low 63
I am staying at the Telford Central Premier Inn (just off Junction 5 of the M54) on Friday night, so if anyone wants to join me for my evening meal (pre-booked in the adjoining Beefeater Restaurant), then you are most welcome!
