brett 2,315
Nice winter fall shot James, I am glad I do not live there either, the poor folks are getting blasted. If you are manually clearing snow in Buffalo, better checked out by the doc's first. We are getting some below average temps by me because of this Artic blast so have the fire stoked . allardjd 1,853
Not bad here. It did briefly dip below freezing in the wee hours of this morning, barely and only for a few hours. It was our first freeze of the winter and came earlier than usual. It hit 62 today and was nice. Our daily high temps in the last week or so have been mostly in the low 60s, unseasonably cool for us but not so bad. I sold my snowblower and shovels when I moved here. It's kind of funny to be out and about in Ocala when the temps are in the 50s or less - some folks, probably the natives or long term residents, dress as if it were in the teens, while the snowbirds are wearing shorts and sandals with socks. Late in the day today we had dinner out and it was turning cool as the sun went low in the west - I saw shorts and sandals and I saw winter jackets and fur-lined boots, all in the same parking lot. John thats a bit like here John, the locals are wearing winter clothes and the holiday makers are wearing t shirts and shorts. However the ski slopes open this weekend and there isnt any snow !! we have had a very warm autumn up till now temps in the day still in the region of low to mid 20's (thats mid 70's in old money) so must not complain, but we could do with some rain , many areas here are still on drought alert. J G 927
We have a low of 5 degrees C here at night and about 9 degrees C in the day. No frost yet which is unusual for this time of year. There are one or two die-hards still wearing shorts, my self included. It is still not cold enough to stop yet. For yet another year it seems like we have had more rain than we should though. This makes shorts an advantage as those in longs tend to get a few inches of wet trousers around the ankle. Paul K 22
I think if the heating was on, my flight simming computer was in fine fettle and the fridge was full ( maybe even with some food in there too ) I wouldn't be averse to being snowed in for a few days. brett 2,315
+1 Paul, any excuse for some extra flying time is a good excuse.
