a video preview of Justflights little fokker

For those interested in this classical turbopropliner:

Its a wee bit long, but ok, I´ve been waiting for this one since December. It was told to be out in February, but at least it looks like its almost finished.

In P3D we have very few quality turbopropliners. Besides the Majestic Dash, which is a tad to procedural for me to buy (maybe another time) I cant really think of any, so this one is velcomed.

Nice preview. I had to jump around alot...he talks too much in this for a quicky look...but like his vids in general.

God those engines sound annoying as fark...such a whine. :)

I am heartened by the quality shown that the Dove this manufacturer is releasing soon will be a winner. I am looking forward to that more so than this Whiny Fokker. But I have to assume this Fokker will eventually end up in my hangar...looks like a great plane.

One thing that annoys me about some of the Just Flight turboprop planes is the clearly audible point at which the engine sound file "loops back on itself". This really should be seamless. It is extremely obvious in that Fokker 27 YouTube video, and it was exactly the same with the Vickers Viscount. I really hate stuff like that, and it seems like the issue has not been resolved with the Rolls Royce Dart engine sounds.

I too am looking forward to this Fokker and it might get me back into flying again, I overdid it a bit over the new year and have taken a wee break. Flight Replica's Heron is a great little runaround if you like small, old propliners.

Christopher. I agree that sound break can be annoying. Several planes in my hangar do this...or some variation of it.

I don't see how they could fix it unless some sound engineer got in there and found a cut point that perfectly matched an identifiable matching start point, or manually "smoothed" over the seams (not a sound guy...have no idea if that is possible)...cuz no way anyone can record or store an hour long sound clip for every engine. Then there is the problem of different engine speeds...does every setting need "sound engineering"? Sounds like a daunting problem to me...but then, im not a sound guy. :)

Geoff. Also agree that that FD Heron is a sweet slow flying classic. Very STOL too...as De Havilland birds are well known for. I am very much looking forward to Aeroplane Heaven's release of the Dove.
