bilirubin 50
I have been training all week on the beginner training missions in FSX so I thought Sunday night could be "my" night. I took it easy first time out and flew from Bournemouth to Gatwick in a Cessna 127. I will be honest and say the first time I was reading the instruments wrong and went completely the wrong way. However second time up I fully understood the bearings, the Garmin and my approach, I selected the runway I wanted to land on, executed a great landing and walked away. I am loving this Mike
hifly 925
You're hooked, line and sinker Mike. Well done! BTW I'm sure we've all gone the wrong way at sometime.

allardjd 1,853
Attaboy, Mike. You'd be amazed at how long some people struggle with finding the airport, much less the desired runway and making a proper landing. You did it the right way, taking the training flights and learning how to do it correctly right out of the box - no need to un-learn bad habits later on. Very happy you're doing so well. donnybalonny 46
Yes, its very satisfactory to give oneself some goles, work for it and do it. Flightsimming is a lot about that. And thats where it comes the closest to real life.
brett 2,285
Happy to see you are enjoying flight simming, it keeps getting better. And don't worry, I have been lost plenty of times. Didn't Mr. Corrigan go the wrong way on purpose, if I remember correctly? Either way you have to give the fella credit for flying across the pond in that aircraft.
