mutley 4,498
Hi Tom, What sort of patches? black squares, blurry textures or missing /messed up textures? I can see you have an excellent setup but you may need to try some testing with the scenery sliders. Joe
wain 879
Have u got any shots to post? Have you gone into ftx central v2 and set it up correctly?. Wayne
Thomas Farr 2
I've read on the Orbx forum there is an update to FTX central 2 and the library but when you download it says there is a separate update for P3Dv2.5. So i don't know. I'll post a photo of the patches. I mean any help will be greatly appreciated. Tom
Thomas Farr 2
Patches like this but this could be without ftx global enabled Tom
Thomas Farr 2
i think it was because i didn't have ftx global turned on
brett 2,316
I thought FTXGlobal was a direct replacement of the global scenery textures and couldn't be turned on or off.
Thomas Farr 2
i don't think i had activated it in ftx central
brett 2,316
Ok, let us know if that fixed it. I gather you were talking about this message in your 4th posthttp://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/92886-orbxlibs-150215-released-features-new-objectflow-dll-patched-ftx-central/
Thomas Farr 2
Yes it is that one but it doesn't have an option for v2 only v1
brett 2,316
Have you checked out this one as it was a newer release and the manual might include info on P3D2.5http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/95480-orbxlibs-150331-ftx-central-v2-released/
Thomas Farr 2
i did and thankyou, i'm all sorted finally!!!!
brett 2,316
Glad to hear Thomas. What exactly was the fix for the black patches, was it simply re-updating everything?
Andrew Godden 945
Tom, I'm going to jump in on the end of this, bearing in mind, my experience is all with FSX, but it also might help. Firstly, you mentioned FTX England, if you are predominantly flying in this region, you need to have the Europe region (NOT the Global region) activated in FTX Central. Otherwise this will definitely cause anomalies in the scenery, such as patchy textures. If you fly from the England region to any other region, e.g. across the Channel to Continental Europe, or you randomly fly in other parts of the world, it is best to have the Global region activated in Hybrid mode. Cheers Andrew
Thomas Farr 2
I think it was just FTX central needing to be updated and i run FTX global in hybrid mode it works wonders.
