dodgy-alan 1,587
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-35453541 The term legend cannot even begin to describe Sir Terry Wogan. He was a giant of broadcasting, always warm, funny, charming, and never ever offensive to anyone. He will be sadly missed by everyone. 50 years in broadcasting is a record few can equal. He was the warm reassuing presence throughout most of my life. A presenter who was without equal. RIP Terry, the world is a sadder place without you. Deepest condolences to all your family, friends and colleagues.

adrians69 159
Very sad news. I used to enjoy his comments on Eurovision when he was being sarcastic about the entries!! Great guy
dogtrack 346
Not given to emotional displays as a rule. But on this occasion, I must say, I was somewhat moved by the announcement. An Irishman who became something of British icon. Sad news indeed.
hlminx 301
Many of the programs I watched in my youth were hosted by Terry Wogan; Blankety Blank, Eurovision, Wogan and Children in Need. A great shame

J G 927
I never really liked the guy as a radio or TV presenter, except for his commentary on the Eurovision Song Contest when he said it like it was. Sorry he has gone though. RIP Sir Terry.
