The term legend cannot even begin to describe Sir Terry Wogan. He was a giant of broadcasting, always warm, funny, charming, and never ever offensive to anyone. He will be sadly missed by everyone. 50 years in broadcasting is a record few can equal. He was the warm reassuing presence throughout most of my life. A presenter who was without equal. RIP Terry, the world is a sadder place without you. Deepest condolences to all your family, friends and colleagues.

I never really liked the guy as a radio or TV presenter, except for his commentary on the Eurovision Song Contest when he said it like it was.

Sorry he has gone though.  RIP Sir Terry.
