I'm back! (shots from Canada)

Hi guys!

Today I came back from holidays. The special part of this year's holidays, is that I crossed the Atlantic for the first time! I've been to Canada-Toronto and Montreal. Hopefully we didn't drift off the runway in Toronto and Montreal! Anyway, the holidays were awesome and Here are some shots:

Here are some shots taken from the top of the CN Tower in Toronto. Luckily, the tower was very near to our hotel (Western Harbour)

and the Niagara Falls. They were amazing! We also got on board the maid of the mist (which is a little boat that tours you around the Falls)

...and by night!

The Embraer 175 will Be the aircraft that will take us over to Montreal

I flew with the following planes:

Athens >> Frankfurt (A300-600 Lufthansa)

Frankfurt >> Toronto Pearson (B763ER Air Canada)

Pearson >> Montreal (E175 Air Canada)

Montreal >> Munich (A330-300 Lufthansa)

Munich >> Athens (A320 Lufthansa)

Flight incidents :

1) Cruising at 38000 feet above the Atlantic on our way home, the A330 started going upwards with the engines on idle and then descend with the engines in full thrust!!

2) Munich >> Athens : We were flying too low for the whole flight and when we came in for landing, it was sooo windy that even when we were lined up, the wind was taking the aircraft to other directions and the pilot was turning left and right all the time. When he used the rudder many people screamed(!!).

I had a great time in Canada. Both hotels were awesome (Western Harbour in Toronto and Intercontinental in Montreal). Also, I bought one of the best camcoders in the market, the Sony HDR-SR12 with 120GB HD, 10.2mp(photos), 5mb(video)

Well I'm not a very big fan of the Embraer aircraft, but the flight was quite good. I prefer the Airbus planes because they are so many years ahead of the competition!

Wonderful pictures and videos Panos, I am glad you had a wonderful time :-) . I have a friend who recently returned from Canada, it is a place I have wanted to visit for some time now.

Great pictures Panos. I love the Embraers, like the Airbuses they are miles ahead of the rest of the field too! The first Embraer photo is an E190 though, not an E175. Hope you had a great time :-)

George: It was a hike. The second day we were walking for 6 hours without a single stop! A lot of flying! 3 hours until Frankfurt and 8 until Toronto. We would go business class but the plane was full

grth_bbtt and JPS: You should visit Canada one day. I liked Toronto more than Montreal. The Niagara Falls was the best place we went. Especially, the tour with the Maid Of The Mist.

Great shots, glad you enjoyed my native country. Nice to get an E-jet between Toronto and Montreal, AC mostly have larger aircraft operating on that route, including the B77W. Did the Boeing 767 of Air Canada have AVOD on the back of the seats like on the E-jet (Project XM)? Also, I hate to criticise, but Quebec City is spelt with a "c" not a "k". Otherwise, great post.

Hi Panos,

You have photographed 2 different airplanes so maybe you were on the E175 and saw the E190 :-) They are easy to confuse but C-FFYJ is definitely an E190.

To solve if it was an E-190 or an E-170, can you either give me the date and time of the flight or the row number you were sitting in? I can check the flight data on flightaware, or I can compare the angle of your view with the seat maps on air canada.com

Way ahead of you CAA330 :wink: - I looked up the registrations on A.net and one was a 175, the other a 190.
