dodgy-alan 1,587
Great shots of a beautiful aircraft. I was lucky enough to be present when the very last passenger carrying Viscount arrived at Heathrow. Loads of spotters there watching her come in, then some wandering bimbo comes up and says "is it something special then?" I don't know how she must have felt when around 100 pairs of disbelieving and hostile eyes fixed on her with pity! J G 927
She is a great bird, and one of the most successful of British produced aircraft. Great shots!
dodgy-alan 1,587
fast forward to 10:05 to see her arrival. I was stood with all the other spotters just by the crossing point where the traffic was held. it can be seen behind the aircaft after she parks. They also taxied a resident Bristol Freighter round to park alongside her. Edited October 10, 2016 by dodgy-alan

dogtrack 346
Used to travel to Belfast (Nutts Corner) as a kid to see my grandparents on the Viscount; which took over from the DC3 (Cotton Wool & Barley Sugar sweets were the order of the day, thank you BEA).
