wain 879
So downloaded my free copy last night, honestly my first impression is FSX with no addons...I have it on Max settings all round, getting a healthy FPS but....blurry in the distance, really shows, ATC-can't get no sound......brakes even though st up weren't working....and way to many trees....now I know this is EA and I have only flown for about an hour but when it looks like this it is hard to be convinced not to just go back to my XP10/11 or P3D....anyway here are a few shots..... getting on course..... preset weather, closest match to what's out the window... blurred out fairly close to me... ATC top corner....really don't like that water.... flying over Southampton....
Corsaire31 419
Thks for sharing, I think I will wait a few months until the EA is more advanced...
Captain Coffee 2,030
Jeez...the LOD is worse than what I get in fsx on my now antiquated machine. Confirms Jessica's findings in her review here. Really makes me wonder how they can hail 64bit as a selling point if they arent apparently taking advantage of it with regards to the scenery distance detaling...doh.
mutley 4,498
You're a real trailblazer Wayne! Thanks for the looksee, I think for a first view, very early on, they have done well. However, it looks like they started with the user interface, which looks slick but that appears to be at the sacrifice of the fine tuning options we are used to. Flight simmers, in general, tend to be happy to get their hands dirty under the bonnet/hood, so I hope they de-sanitise it so we can tweak to our heart's content. I am not confident at the moment that they can deliver a non-gamey product, but I really hope I am proved wrong.

OzWookiee 151
Just loading into FSW now and the load times are huge! Ok loaded into the first tutorial mission and it is giving me about 5fps. Also the angles aren't right for multimonitor. Will upload a photo. Still a ways to go so we'll head back to XP11 for a few months. Edited May 20, 2017 by OzWookiee Photo

brett 2,316
@BeeJay- They(FSW) are not set up for trip or dual monitors at this point and that would definitely cause the low fps and odd wideview angles. Stick it on one monitor and see how you make out.

Corsaire31 419
Or at people who might want to spend more of their time just flying than downloading stuff, installing it, tweak it for hours, seeing it doesn't work, go to forums to get some help and finally manage to get it to work until they try to install other addons... Sometimes I love my PS4 ... Edited June 5, 2017 by Corsaire31
