How about plane-less shots, ie shots without an aircraft/helicopter in sight, just scenery/moods/dawn/dusk/sky shots?

I'd suggested that a while back :thum: should be fun trying to get a shot without a plane, plenty of fun things to try and capture in FSX, boats, scenery, cities, buildings, landmarks etc.

Please oh please can we have General Aviation

Sure thing, I didn't realise we have not had that theme yet.

Consider it up after Jack's/Soya's suggestion.

Cheers

Awesome! Glad you liked my suggestion!

Will be really intersting to see what turns up. There are a whole number of crafts that fall into this category!

Cool! That sounds good, do you have the FSX formation program?

Is formation program available for FSX aswell as FS9??

Also the competition topic of 'your grounded' is inspired!!! Love it!

And I really like the FS recorder topic too!

Mut, a quick skim through the thread here and i have a few ideas i don't think we've seen yet:

  • [*:3u608cqc]Gliders, Hang-gliders & Un-powered flight (para-gliders etc.)[*:3u608cqc]Fictional Aircraft[*:3u608cqc]Experimental Aircraft (e.g. test-beds, the
Flying-Bedstead and TSR2 as examples)

and one more for the road:

  • [*:3u608cqc]Milestones of flight - aircraft renowned for an historic event, the Bell X-1 for example

How about Mc Donnell Douglas (since we had the other two)

Concorde (Not sure if that is too specific...it could be widened it to "supersonic flight" I guess)

Space flight (Since FSX we are now able to fly into space and there are plenty of freeware and payware add-ons to do so...just an idea)

Thanks guys, this is all great feedback. I always read back through this thread before choosing the next competition and Simi & Stefan you have come up with some excellent ideas.

I have a feeling McDonnell Douglas could be up next as they have made so many historic aircraft civil and military. (Thanks Stefan  )

If indeed it is McDonnell Douglas for May's comp, would it include any MD aircraft that became boeing manufactured...the c17 as an example.

"Show off your colours!"

A month which consists of displaying some of the pretties liveries around (hands off my favourite, Wunala Dreaming!).

Great idea jack, that could yield some awesome shots!!

I don't think that would be pratical Jack. Mainly because there are so few repaints for the aircraft.

Wrong wrong wrong Eddie! :winka:

Haven't you seen how many fantastic, detailed and colourful liveries there are out there? There are thousands of repaints for both payware/freeware/default Aircraft.

pmtos mentioned something similar, but how about:

"Borderline Insanity" (or maybe not so borderline...)

The idea would be to do something absolutely outrageous, the more outrageous the better (though not necessarily realistic). For example, looping the default 747, rolling the Boeing 707 (has been done in the real-world), or giving passing pedestrians a haircut/singe.
