wisemanp 0
I saw something similar to this on a rail forum a while back, and thought it could apply to aeroplanes as well! So, what songs do you know that feature something to do with aviation, or just remind you of flying. A few I can remember include: 747-Strangers in the Night -Saxon, Landing in London - 3 Doors Down, Edinboro - The Audition And there was a song when I was young that went 'We're going to Ibiza' that featured a pilot, anyone remembered it? Queen - Don't Stop Me Now was once used as the backing for the outro-video of a Concorde talk I went to so will always remind me of Concorde... Anyone got any of their own? allardjd 1,853
Mut, The Top Gun soundtrack album was excellent... "Early Mornin' Rain" - Peter Paul & Mounds (A Favorite) In the early morning rain With a dollar in my hand With an achin in my heart And my pockets full of sand Im a long way from home And I miss my loved ones so In the early morning rain With no place to go Out on runway number nine Big 707 set to go But Im stuck here in the grass Where the pavement never grows Now the liquor tasted good And the women all were fast Well there she goes my friend Shes a rollin down at last Hear the mighty engines roar See the silver bird on high Shes away and westward bound Far above the clouds shell fly Where the mornin rain dont fall And the sun always shines Shell be flyin oer my home In about three hours time This old airports got me down Its no earthly good to me cause Im stuck here on the ground As cold and drunk as I can be You cant jump a jet plane Like you can a freight train So Id best be on my way In the early morning rain Starwood in Aspen - John Denver (starts with) It's a long way from LA to Denver It's a long time to hang in the sky
