CaptHill 0
Starting your own business always has problems, yes aircraft failure is a rare business problem but never the less I found myself on a rescue mission! Dai is stuck over in France awaiting parts so I shipped some across for him. On the ramp, waiting for the parts to reach us.....sit tight Dai Starting her up Busy as ever! Holding short Were on the way Mutley Field looks good from the air Making our way to Jersey first Cloud cover starting to build approaching Jersey. And then a little more....getting a touch worried now, might have to divert Doesn't look too bad as we reach the VOR just off jersey French coast and ever get the feeling the low cloud is creeping up on you! The last thing we need is me and Dai both grounded in France til morning. The cloud is getting really bad now and I'm at 1000 feet only! I've got a bad feeling about this, oh and should i mention this is my first grass strip landing gulp! Missed approach the first time, so had to go around, should have diverted to airfield with lighting equipment really i think but I had to get down for Dais sake, and fear for my own life....I picked out the runway at the last second And down!! This airport is proving to be a bad omen! Dai your back up and running CaptHill

allardjd 1,853
Nice work. It's nice to see Radar Contact being used. I wouldn't go anywhere without it. That's a great looking 152 - fond memories there. John
CaptHill 0
Yep Mut i'm loving the GA just at the min, life in the slow lane for a change. Radar Contact is a must, its not ideal for VFR but it's made my ATC experience so much better. CaptHill
