Leg 43. Cancun - Grand Cayman

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

Well this is a first for me on mutleys ATWC but saw gaps in the board and asked to be put down for any slot. After Martyn brought us into Cancun Mexico (MMUN) i pick up the baton on a flight to Grand Cayman, Owen Roberts Intl. (MWCR)

I had wanted to fly something old but when i saw the route with 98% ocean i thought something a little faster. I decided on the 737-700 winglet from POSKY in AeroMexico livery.

As i have said there would be much water on route so i could only hope the weather would be of interest. I got a forecast pre flight and with 85 degrees and 20% chance of a storm i could only hope.

So anyhoo, heres some pictures.

Pre FLight checks at Cancun Intl. A storm has just moved over and visibilty is poor.

Taxi to the terminal as another flight goes around.

Engines off and about to commence de-boarding. A Delta 757 in the distance.

Sorry for not as many pics as some of your posts, its hard to make water interesting. I was happy to have found freeware for both the airports although Owen Roberts was a little harsh with loading in ground textures.

I look forward to the next leg whoever flys it. It was a fun fligh from somwhere ive never flown before but i can see Cancun becoming a regular stop for me now.

Thanks for letting me fly Mutley.

Reef,

Very nice shots. The rain effects were very well done.

I landed and departed Owen Roberts recently in a couple of Cargo Pilot flights, but both were at night, so

there wasn't much for me to see. Your's looks a lot better.

Welcome to the ATWC. Glad to see a new face.

Good grief Reef, you didn't actually have to go out there in real life to take shots!

An excellent début, these shots have certainly set the gold standard, well done, great commentary too.

I'm pleased you enjoyed the flight, it's nice making flights that have been created for you, I am going to enjoy these quite a few more times!

As you say we need a pilot for the next leg, we have a back up i.e me, but I am hoping to get a different pilot in each flight.

Cheers

Heh, of course i don't mind smeagol. To which picture do you refer ? At a guess i'd say the shot from behind the A/C and if indeed so, yes maybe over done. Or do you refer to all the engine effects ?

Either way, thanks for the comments

I know what you mean about the exposure. Ive figured a way to use all the effects i use without such bad exposure now. Hopefully the next shots i post will be better.

Thanks for the response.
