simi_av8r 0
some absolute crackers there Martyn, very nice indeed. my only gripe is having to use the sideways scroll facility of my mouse to fit the whole image in... any chance of 800x600 pics for us less fortunate pc/mac owners with smaller screens? One word....widescreen. Unfortunately the days of 800x600 have passed for me. Now I have to deal with the strange resolutions that come with widescreen monitors. What res are you running your monitor at? The image is a mere 1280x800. Or do you run at 1024x768? B77W 0
Nice shots Martyn! 'Also, I think the maximum screenshot size should be limited to 1024 pixels.' http://mhf.jconserv.net/viewtopic.php?t=
mulletman 0
wow, superb shots. From the word go every single one was stunning. My only complaint is the FSUIPC box, which takes away form the realisim a bit, other than that, fantastic.
mutley 4,495
Great shots Martyn, looks like just the sort of thing I like to do, a nice easy flight around some stunning scenery, well done. About the screen shot size, my screen is 1680 x 1050 and your shots fill a large percentage of my screen. If was were viewing on my laptop I would be scrolling left to right too. It does take away the immediate impact of a shot and if anything wakes it worse. I did ask people in this thread http://mhf.jconserv.net/viewtopic.php?t=9 (which should be a sticky) to try and keep the size to a maximum of 1024 pixels wide, it would be good if we can stick to this, you still get a widescreen view something like 1024 x 640, still adds up to a nice size. As people have mentioned it it would appreciate it if we could stick to this rule. Many thanks.
Martyn 9
Fairy snuff. **Cough**Buy bigger monitors**Cough** @Mulletman: The FSUIPC box is due to Radar contact. As with most of my screenshots, the actual screenshoting is just a sideline to occupy me whilst I progress through the flight. ATC will be ticking me off if I fail to spot a Radar contact message, hence the ugly box

Or do you run at 1024x768? im at 1280x1024 on a very nice (3 yr old!) 21" CRT - if it aint broke, don't fix it! as for the image sizes, scrolling wasn't a major issue for me, just that fact that i had to. i was more concerned for those with laptop or smaller 17" displays... ddavid 149
Thank you, Martyn - my Mum and Dad used to live in Mallorca - on the outskirts of Palma just beyond Juan Carlos's palace, on the road to Malagoof (just after your tenth screen-shot). Lovely island and super people the Mallorceens...... And onto the screen size debate - not having a wide screeeen, I too have minor problems with panning. Now then, some forums use a 'big thumbnail' technique, where the screen shot appears at around 480x400 (approx) and you then click on this image for a full size picture. This makes downloading of long posts (yes, I'm as much to blame as anyone here!) much quicker, and then you can choose to view the detailed shots as you wish........ Well, that's my 2.5 NP-worth! Thanks again, Martyn - nice memories!! Cheers - Dai/David.
allardjd 1,853
I don't find the scrolling to see a photo nearly as annoying as scrolling over to read each line of text. With text, I've gotten in the habit of putting in a after each line-and-a-half to force a new line, keeping the text narrow enough to be read without horizontal scrolling. Sometimes I forget, but usually do this. I also note that any new graphic that is posted in a thread, if larger, resets the width of the whole page, making text wider too. A text entry that wrapped in the earlier, narrower screen will "unwrap" and display at the same width as the new graphic, unless it is forced to wrap by embedded s.
