B77W 0
Hellllllo, Well it was my turn to carry the baton, this time between Luis Munoz Marin and Princess Juliana. I was originally going to take the Embraer 145 (E145) but due to the fact Dave flew the Legacy, (E135 with Wingtips :mrhappy:) I decided to change to an ATR-72...but…as you’ll see in this post, things change at the last minute. I apologise in advance for the repetitive frequency of shots upon arrival in TNCM…I really couldn’t help my self. :mrhappy: You’ll also notice the shots come in various sizes. This is because some are more ‘exciting’ then others. Pre-flight checks in the ATR72, still waiting for my First Officer to arrive for his connecting flight. Walking back to the Terminal to ring the First Officer…Where can he be? Sam: Joe, Where are you?!? Joe: Come to Stand 12...I’ve got something to show you. (Thinking to myself...He could have worded that better ) Yikes…Mutley’s done well! Shame its abit dirty. Making the initial contact with ATC. Two good starts…Testing the spoilers and he rudder. Taxiing out. Holding at S1. Short of Runway 8. Time to get this leg started! Winding the throttles up…I think Mutley was abit surprised…there was a smell lingering in the air for all of the takeoff run. V2! Gear Up! Flaps 5. The baton’s view. A nice reflection… on a not so clean fuselage! Now at FL250. The sun’s getting low. Turning direct to the PGM. Starting the Initial decent to FL190. A dirty Tail. Starting the VOR-DME Approach for Runway 09. Flaps 5! Flaps 15! Gear Down! The same odder that I smelt on takeoff seemed to lingerie in the air again….Joe! A view from the Nose-Cam Flaps 30…Landing checklist complete! Awwww…. Burning some rubber! Reversers coming in. Entering the backtrack R09. A local photographer’s view on things. About to Vacate right…(Joe’s other left) My personal favourite. The short taxi in. Stand A2…Here I come A couple of terminal shots! And…to finish off, this was mine and Mutley’s location in five hour intervals. Cheers, Sam

dgor 0
Absolutely fantastic Sam. Probably the lowest approach to SXM I've ever seen - but with St Maarten, the lower the better :mrhappy: Well done. Dave

mulletman 0
Fantastic set of shots! Has the ATR been used in a leg yet? Might be worth rolling her out methinks.... Really liked the scenery too. Flytampa always do a good job, and the TJSJ stuff looks sharp.
