mutley 4,498
Flight1 Software announces a new update to Instant Scenery 2. The update adds cut/copy/paste functionality and several bug fixes. Instant Scenery 2 is a new generation of our popular scenery making tool. It allows you to easily add 3D objects to the scenery directly inside Flight Simulator - literally point, click and see the result! The easy and intuitive user interface allows you to set many parameters for every object, including heading, scale, elevation and the scenery complexity level. The scenery you create with Instant Scenery can be easily shared with other Flight Simulator users. For more information, please visit the product page: Here
ddavid 149
Instant Scenery 1 was my favourite tool for spicing up screen shots - looks like I'll be raiding the piggy bank again!! Cheers - Dai.
mutley 4,498
Well worth it Dai as you can import objects from ES and Orbx to use in your own scenery (Not for resale though -_- )
GabethePilot 1
Definitely worth getting - just wish they'd improved a few other annoyances. Review is here. Review These are the changes: * You can now cut, copy and paste groups of objects using the Group submenu. See Cut, Copy and Paste in the manual. * More FSX-specific settings added to the Object Properties dialog, like No Crash. This needs to be enabled in the Options dialog. * Rotating a viewpoint around a fixed location (depress + rotate the mouse wheel) now works both on FS9 and FSX. * Bugfix: Thumbnails would not appear on some Windows 7 systems. * Bugfix: Objects created with SAMM caused texture errors in FS9. ddavid 149
I've had InstantScenery 1 for a number of years and it's one of the best scenery building (NOT design!) apps around. I didn't think it could be improved, but 5 minutes with IS-2 have negated that impression. In fact, IS-2 has quite blown me away - it's brilliant. And thanks for the HU on the Review, Gabe, it'll be most useful. As for the time aspect, JD, you're quite right - InstantScenery is addictive! Cheers - Dai.
