A320cap 0
Hi all! This was a quite adventurous flight with an emergency at 34000 feet but managed to ‘’survive’’ and land safely at Recife. I tried to edit some shots. Hope you like them. Enjoy! Flight Environment doing its job Cockpit Preparations are done Pushback Right Engine started, time to start the left one Taxi Clearance is taken First Officer asking for takeoff clearance A spotter took this one Maximum power. (Mother Earth is very angry with me!) V2! Climbing with a rate of 4000 feet. Gear Up Right Turn The First Officer goes to the toilet I heard the cockpit door opening and then closing. Right then, the first officer came back to his seat. I asked him why he didn’t finally go to the toilet. And this is the answer… It is not simulated! When we reached 34000 feet, I and my colleague felt really bad. We started feeling a bit confused. Then an alarm went off Another warning WHAT?????? I had checked Cabin Pressure 3 times since takeoff. This switch had brought down Helios 522. I was really scared. Hopefully I had time to correct the problem I am gonna kill the first officer. He must have turned it at that position accidentally! At last…descending It would be nice to see this panel simulated. Airport in sight AA778, requesting clearance to land AA778, cleared to land AA778, roger Full stop in under 20 seconds AA778, contact ground on 119.25. Good day Shutdown Saying goodbye to the passengers and cargo Hope you enjoyed this flight to Recife. Landing is also available as a video. dgor 0
Hi Panos, Some great shots there :-) Just some things I think you should take into account: 1) Shot size: I run at 1280x1024 and I had to scroll to see those. Most people use a lower resolution so they have to scroll even more. For posting on forums please keep the shot size at 1024x768 or below. 2) Commentary: A screenie post without commentary is always only half as good as it could have been - particularly important in the ATWC as it just adds so much to the post. 3) Spacing: Don't forget to space out your pictures, skip a line or in between each shot (and write the commentary in the space). Apart from that, brilliant shots, and thanks for flying this leg for us! :???: Cheers, Dave
A320cap 0
Thanks both of you: Dgor: 1) The shots in my opinion look much more realistic in bigger size. I remember Martyn's pics. 2) I think that the commentary was good as most of the pictures had 3) OK

As for the resizing issue, I know it can be tempting sometimes to post the shots in all their glory so to speak but resizing needs to be done out of courtesy to those running smaller resolutions and those with a slower Internet connection (higher-res shots tend to be much larger in file size). If it's done in anything other than MS Paint there is no discernable difference in quality anyway.

allardjd 1,853
Panos, Great photos. I really liked the red dawn shots and the light flares on the landing lights. Also the heat shimmer of the exhaust in one of the last few shots. Not sure if you edited for those effects or if FSX and your add-ons provided the effects, but they were very good. Interesting little tidbit on the cabin pressure. Any passenger complaints? John
A320cap 0
Thank you. This is FS2004. I made the effects with Photoshop. Unfortunately, most of the passengers told me that they won't fly with American Airlines again at the end of the flight. Hopefully they were just
mutley 4,495
Hi Panos, I can see that a lot of work went into presenting this flight, well done! There are some excellent shot's that are competition winners for sure :???: One point about the screenshot size and it was mentioned and agreed with Martyn that we would limit the width to 1024 pixels wherever possible see this post viewtopic.php?t=9 Thanks for getting the baton safely to Recife. Cheers
A320cap 0
Thank you all for your kind comments. As for the size, I'll keep it to 1024.
ddavid 149
Sorry to be slow, Panos - a well rounded leg with plenty of atmospheric shots, interesting commentary and touch of trauma! I'll admit that the quality of the screen-shots does make up for the scrabbling mouse (squeak'n'all!!) as my screen is 1024 wide (give or take a few pixies.....) Loved the edits - especially the halo effects on the AC, not seen that before. And, thanks for getting the baton through - look forward to your next leg. Cheers - Dai/David :???:
