JD_LincsUK 0
Another difficult one. Trying to be different: It was tempting to post one of the Bristol Brabazon, but it looks totally unbelievable as a flying object - like something out of Thunderbirds: LINKY JD

ddavid 149
First off, a neat shot, but not really an entry... This was taken of Sharon and the Boss (Who He? - Ed) at the end of Mutley's Mission - But... On a more serious note, how's about the Boeing B747-4J6(LCF) Dreamlifter just lifting off from EGHI: Maybe more to come - if I can get the blighter into the paintshop! Cheers - Dai. md_eleven 0
Ok, I will give it a go as well this month First, a Fedex MD-11F turning onto finals into KMEM (airport in background) Then a BA 744 blasting off Dubai airport on a hot summers day And finally, after a long 12 hour flight this MD-11 starts its descend into Tokyo as the sun starts to rise. The moon is still visible in the early morning sky Good luck everyone Stefan
dodgy-alan 1,587
My guess is there are some of those gorgeous Japanese flight attendants clearing away the breakfast things on that last one, A very tranquil shot.

TransportSteve 0
Silly question, but, one I need to ask, what Military planes are classed as wide bodied, as none of them have seats ?? Something like a C130, what about a Nimrod ?? Thanks. Transport Steve.

Something like a C130, what about a Nimrod ?? Thanks. Transport Steve. Hi Steve I don't think Nimrod would be a good choice but so long as they look fat like the C130 Fat Albert! The big American (Or other) Military lifters would be "wide body" without having a pax layout. Enjoy! Joe
Ben432 0
Here are my 3 entries for this month: BA Boeing 747-200 AF DC-10 BA 767-300 Thanks Ben432
SEATAC 400
Silly question, but, one I need to ask, what Military planes are classed as wide bodied, as none of them have seats ?? Something like a C130, what about a Nimrod ?? Thanks. Transport Steve. Having passenger seats onboard isn't a requirement for being a widebody. The 747F has no seats and we all know it's a widebody. But I'd say as far as military aircraft go, the C5 is definitely qualifies. Probably the C-141 as well.

Cheerz. Steve.
dodgy-alan 1,587
A wide body is generally considered to be an aircraft that can have more than one aisle in the case of pax or can carry containers side by side or outside cargo. The Nimrod was based on the Comet, A single aisle narrow body airliner.
Tim_A 997
In my book, if you can close the pilot-side door without the passenger being popped out of his door (or without outside help), and two of you in the plane doesn't count as "second base" at the slightest movement, then it's a wide body... TransportSteve 0
Is this any good then, it's one of those American thingys...... And I know the other one is an A380...... Haven't done a 3rd one yet, I'll pop it on next week. Cheerz. Transport Steve.
