mutley 4,497
I can see that REX2 and Flight Environment have a real serious contender. Active Sky now has it's own set of HD textures for Clouds-Sky-Sea-Sun-Moon-Runways-Taxiways etc and they are very exceptionally good. This was a random set I generated, for flying over NZ South Island. This could well be my complete one-stop solution for weather generation and weather textures from now on More tomorrow once I've had a sleep!
UKJim 502
I currently use the AS weather engine so may have to take a look into this because that screen looks great - would rather have one product doing all the work than two - thanks for the screenshot Joe

Gunfighter 0
Hi Guys does these Extra addons effect FPS or are they good to use never tried any of them before ????
stu7708 244
Looks great Joe, and it will be interesting to see how the coming REX update compares. I for one will be awaiting that before changing over to Active Sky. @Gunfighter: I can only answer regarding REX, and for me it had a big impact on FPS on days where there's plenty of could coverage when using the clouds with the highest definition. But when using the 1024 resolution clouds I barely notice a change in FPS regardless of weather, and the quality is stil much better than the default clouds.

Yes I was thinking of REX, I suppose its about getting the right balance for cloud cover Thanks Stu7708.
charlie 6
Looks great Joe, tempted to reinstall FSX... @Gunfighter, I always keep my visibility limited to around 30 miles as I'm low and slow most of the time. You could try using some freeware FS9 HD clouds in FSX as a trial.
