Thanks Chuck, I detected it by looking up the Ansons reg first, found out where that was then just needed to find details about the wooden models on display! :D simples!!

Anyway, Have a go with this one. It was another one that never got built but bits of it survive in a later design.

Now that's being a tad techincal John - afterall, the Wildcat was initally the Marlet in RAF/RN service

And I found the picture online. There's a wonderful photo in Eric Brown's "Wings on my Sleeve" of him hovering it with no hands, and of testing something to do with the aerodynamics of the blades - just two people with a big metal tube putting out coloured smoke, with the rotors inches away from the pole - those were the days!

Had a kid with a fewer to attend to when I got home :(

Here's the next one for you. Not much detail, but I hope the rather un-orthodox placement of the airspeed indicator can work as a clue...
