dodgy-alan 1,587
Brett's got it, It is indeed the Embraer 202 Ipenema. Oh well, that didn't last long! https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=embraer+emb+202+ipanema+photos&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=FlgsUvjnBYixhAe74oGICw&sqi=2&ved=0CC0QsAQ&biw=1024&bih=643 over to you Brett. Andrew Godden 943
Well done Brett. I passed over the "Ipanema" initially because I couldn't find an early enough model and then I think I started spelling it "impanema".
brett 2,315
I originally had John's answer and then tripped over the EMB-202. The reason for the question mark was because although it did not have the wing struts, I was not happy with the way the wheel supports(not sure what they are called) looked. You guys are so good I figured you could even guess an aircraft from a wing shot(not that I could) so here it goes.

brett 2,315
No, sorry, but I see the resemblance and see why you chose it. Posting images in the forum 'how too' can be found here.

brett 2,315
Right manufacturer wrong model Alan. Not sure myself if the wings change from model to model so I will give it to you, it's the Fokker 100 Nice work on that Alan. Over to you sir......
dodgy-alan 1,587
Thanks Brett, I had the pleasure of seeing that very view for real when I flew back from Amsterdam many years ago so remembered it from then.

Andrew Godden 943
No-one got this yet? I'll give you a clue, It's NOT American! Never thought it was. The wheels are too big and somewhat conspicuous by design as is the high nose position. Cheers Andrew
allardjd 1,853
It must be really good for those famous "unimproved runways" over there. John
dodgy-alan 1,587
Thankfully the MkII looked nothing like this monster, It had a long and distinguished career earning battle honours in the Middle East.
J G 927
I am guessing that this is Soviet then?

dodgy-alan 1,587
You have it Dorel, It is indeed the SO4000 Vautour. Only the prototype was ever built. The Vautour II however was completely different and served for many years. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SNCASO_SO.4000 http://xplanes.free.fr/so4000/images/so4000_08.jpg over to you!
