dgor 0
Hi all, I decided to take a leaf out of John's book and give Skylines a cargo wing. In fact, I gave it an entire cargo plane. Painted this up tonight - I thought the all-green scheme wouldn't look as nice on larger aircraft so this one is a bit different. I like it. Just looking for a little feedback on it - so comments are welcome as always! You can see Skylines page on the new-look Flynet here: http://flynet.turksim.org/index.php5?status=va&status2=102&va=383 Anyway, onto the shots: Loading at Stansted. Sorry about the funny tail textures on this one. Rotating, runway 05. Climbing slowly with a heavy load, en route to Rome. Cheers, Dave
mutley 4,498
Hi Dave, The bold logo on the side looks just about right, the colour scheme does remind me of one of TGP's VA's "Eurosomething" but it looks a lot better on yours. I had a quick look at the site, I see you have only just started flying again, I wish I could join and fly! I see you have Myrm flying for you too. Cheers
TapA321 0
Superb Shots! Really loved the Rotating shot :good

dgor 0
Thanks for the comments all :-) Mut, yes I hadn't noticed that before but it does look a bit like Eurolinks, except I think they had the green running accross the fuselage rather than up. (Skylines don't have a god complex either ). You are more than welcome to join even if you don't get to fly much - Flynet was down for a few months that's the reason for the big gap between flights! I don't get to fly much anyway, although I am off this week so you never know. Yes, Myrm's flying for us, he joined a couple of months ago. Reef, repainting is pretty simple as long as you have the creativity! We've already seen your Photoshop talents so I know that won't be a problem for you (it can be for me!). The tricky part is getting the textures from the paintkit to the plane - the part that had me stumped at first - but you get the hang of it. The key is a good paintkit provided by the developer - I think you have the PMDG 737 and they make the best paintkits around so perhaps that's a good place to start? Good luck! Thanks again. allardjd 1,853
Very nice, Dave. It's not like you're ever going to sneak up on anyone with a 747 anyway. John
simi_av8r 0
love the repaint Dave, and good luck with the VA's new cargo division. One thing i should admit to however.... on first glance, your repaint reminded me of this:
AirbusLad 0
Good repaint mate, Does remind of or Eurolink, used to fly for them to, Not anymore. Looks gr8 on that 747! Simi, whats with that ASDA repaint?
simi_av8r 0
....Simi, whats with that ASDA repaint? if memory serves correctly, ASDA did a huge advert promoting how much stock they had "Rolled Back" in price... i think it was something like 45,000 items. Anyway, they decided to load a 747F with all their "Roll Back" items and shout about it in style...and it seemed to have worked!
allardjd 1,853
I decided to...give Skylines a cargo wing. In fact, I gave it an entire cargo plane. This one kind of flew over the cuckoo's nest on the first read. Just caught it. That's good, Dave. :rofl John
AirbusLad 0
Thanks for that Simi, pleased i ask as that seems to be a good way of a TV ad.
