Martyn 9
Hi all, Firstly, well done to everyone on your recent shots. Unfortunately I'm not very good at coming up with comments for other peoples screenshots(lack of creativity), but I admire from a far! Here is my second leg on the African section, fortunately I have a much quicker aircraft this time :mrhappy: Parked up, crew boarding and lunch being loaded First Officer Mutley is working his way through the cockpit clean up checklist Pretty fast V-Speeds today, due to a heavy load As the sunrises, we start our pushback and turn the taxi lights on Starting our taxi to Runway 05 With not much runway left, we get airbourne The baton is lying around here somewhere! The lovely crystal clear sea surrounding Madeira Quite a bumpy climb through cumulonimbus Finally on top, ahead Porto Santo The sun is rising, causing the air temperature to rise(not really that good for flying!) After an uneventful cruise, I sit over the wing and calculate my descent. No ILS approach for me! We arrived at GMMN 10 minutes ahead of time, so I had to 'get dirty' and stick those flaps out. After 5 minutes cruising at 160 knts, I have GMMN in sight A ropey approach is finally stabilised Just about to touchdown, nice and smooooth Spoilers up, reverse thrust set Parked up at the 'luxurious' African gate...donkey anyone? Hope you enjoyed it!
dgor 0
Brilliant shots Martyn, I love the 737PIC too :mrhappy: Your shots show it and FSX off nicely. Commentary is excellent as well. Well done on an excellent leg, thanks for flying :-) Dave
allardjd 1,853
Martyn, Excellent flight - great photos. I'm sure there's no intended connection between the caption on the first photo which refers to, "...lunch being loaded." and the one for the last, "...Donkey, anyone?" However, just in case, no thank you, I've already eaten. Now, if you should meet a big hulking fellow in a rumpled suit hanging around the airport at Casablanca who is going by the rather questionable name of Smythe-Jones, just give him the baton. It's a long story and you don't really want to know just now. All will be revealed in good time. Really enjoyed your post. John
mutley 4,495
Hey Martyn, Excellent stuff, even an edit with the taxi lights, well done. As D.G.O.R says this really shows off the aircraft to great effect, I loved the shot from cabin on approach sticking those flaps out :mrhappy: Thanks for getting us safely to Casablanca and back to the African mainland again, be wary of strange men in overcoats  Cheers

TapA321 0
I loved every single one. I think the PIC 737 is awesome and it punctuated your shots perfectly, well done! The wing view shot climbing out is my favourite, the water in FSX is great. A truly great post all together :mrhappy:
