Been using an Iphone for around 5 years now. Without doubt the finest App of all time is the "Toilet Finder". Saved me a few embarrassing moments, in strange towns & cities, on many an occasion. Done the deed...Ipad 2. Cheaper than I was expecting.

Not looking for G3 connectivity. Ipad2 uses the same physical connectivity as the Iphone & Ipod (30 pin). Which will mean not having to invest in extra cables, so that may be the way to go. The newer Ipad has a "Lightning" connector, whatever that is. Thanks for the pointer Joe.

Thanks for the full report Ray...think I will pass on that one. No memory expansion and the small screen kill it for me. Called in to Overclockers UK today...only a few miles up the road...my home from home. They pretty much told me the same as you Dai. And they don't sell them !! Was hoping to avoid the hefty price tag, but, it seems I may have to speak sweetly to she who must be obeyed. oooohh deeearrrr.

Looking to buy one but unsure as to which. Not interested in paying the huge wedge that Apple ask for their ipad. About 10" screen would be ok. More interested in build quality than a list of bells & whistles that may be included. Want Wireless n connectivity & must have SD/MSD slot. Budget around £250. Anyone have tried & tested opinions as to Make, Model etc ? The Good, The Bad and yes even The Ugly (apologies to Clint Eastwood). All thoughts & considerations will be warmly received. Thank You.

As an Horizon user from the days of John Farrie ( Visual Flight ) , it never actually occurred to me to make the aforesaid purchase. That said I am an avid ORBX user with the full Region collection and a small number of their airfields.

Be positive Dan, show your Lady the door and get a new system Now on a more serious note I think it would be wasted money just to upgrade the OS. W7 requires 4GB of ram alone just to run smoothly. Graphics card is a bit long in the tooth...good in its day. Not sure about your processor, never used AMD. If it is Overclockable you could try to take it up to near 4GHz, perhaps 3.8. Bottom line, if it were me, I would be inclined to leave it for a few months and save up. Perhaps look to a new rig by Summer. Also if you can find one get yourself a retail copy of W7 before they disapear from th

....Ok, I know it's a bit early. But hey, have booked 2 nights at the Premier Inn East (A370). Couldn't make it last year but shall be there this; all things being equal. Perhaps see one or two of you there. 18th/19th May 2013.

Couldn't resist the 757 & Pack for under a Tenner. Not sure when I shall get to try it though.

Glad I bought an extra W7 retail package, before they disapeared off the shelves. Could it be history repeating its self...ME, Vista, W8, time will surely tell....is it me or is there a pattern to be seen. Mmm, perhaps just me suffering from acute paranoia.

Select the region you want to fly in. Failure to do so will mean you are likely to miss loading Library Objects for that area. Only select Default if you want to fly outside ORBX area(saves loading all the files). Or if you want to install some Non Orbx Scenery. Hope that helps.

Pass. Hopefully not long for the Southern Alaska release.

Have a look here. 2nd hand I would imagine, certainly not available from Belkin or indeed listed amongst the product range. http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=Belkin+F5U237+Hub&sourceid=ie7&rls=com.microsoft:en-gb:IE-Address&ie=&oe=&redir_esc=&ei=o02jUOewKMKe0QWq8YHABw

Not an ebay user myself but there seem to be a few available...see here :- http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=Merry+King+MKD-064000UK....&sourceid=ie7&rls=com.microsoft:en-gb:IE-Address&ie=&oe=&redir_esc=&ei=CjeiUJboOueY1AWK_IGYDQ

Hub Model :- Belkin F5U237 : Adapter Model :- Merry King MKD-064000UK.... input 230-240v AC 50HZ 200mA....output 6v DC 4A. The adapter is the size of a 1/4 brick and weighs about the same as a full size brick. Bare in mind I bought in or around 2002/3 and at that time the packages retailed at £50 each if my memory serves me well. Build quality is excellent, though I am sure today the quality will have been forfeit to keep prices down. Seems to be the norm nowadays...never mind the quality, feel the width, as they say.

Powered yes, run from adapter giving 6v DC 4A output.

Have been using Belkin 7 Port USB2 hubs (2) for many years without problem. Both must be close to ten years old now. Avoid using USB3 variants at this time, as their can be backward compatability issues with some hardware.

The iFLY support is available through the Flight1 support forums. May be worth registering there to access the assistance you need. I am sure all the answers can be found there as they offer a very thorough support service.

Don't you just love Gov Information films...whatever the flavour.

It is beautifully crafted work of that their is no doubt. However, from a personal perspective, I am struggling to get excited about the UK venture. Or indeed any of the released airports over the last 12 months. Like I said, just a personal view. Why would I want to sit in a cockpit and watch grass sway in the wind, leaves fall with the season and insects flutter from one location to another. All of which is hugely resource hungry. Bottom line:- all i really need is ATC, pothole free tarmac/grass and navaids. Fully enjoy large area land coverage...bigger the better. Stopped installing high -
Which FSX addon could you do without?

I'm with you there Jim...SimMarket very good...FSX Booster a bag of the proverbial.. Closely followed by several "utilities" from the Abacus stable...GPS & Terrain related. Got a draw full of those T-Shirts...Grrr, Grrr. Now you've set me off, it's just turned 0600Hrs and I am depressed already. -
Any Win7 Pro experts out there?
