  1. I think I know what went wrong, I hadn't factored in the 35 knot headwind that meant groundspeed was a lot less than IAS. I was only about 10 miles from my destination when the engine quit.
  2. To me it seems like a pie in the sky. Aircraft under take of power inherently will only move in straight lines! Not around corners. Aircraft wheels are not designed to take the G-forces needed to go round a curve whilst accelerating, Wing loading would be unequal and this will cause severe handling problems. Trying to land on such a thing in bad weather would be damn near impossible! I could see this hairbrained idea being responsible for hundreds of accidents. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-39284294
  3. A real tragedy, Those guys rescue everyone else, but no-one expects to rescue the rescuer! RIP Guys.
  4. Bear, "Bloody Paparazzi, I can't even sh*t in the woods without you nosey bas**rds watching me! now F*** O** ! "
  5. Ok, to the current pic, Bear, " Relax guys, I just wondered if you had any spare batteries for my Pentax SFX? I got it when the last owner ran off!"
  6. I think I must have missed something, LOL, I thought we were still on the previous one. The current one didn't show up at first for some reason.
  7. Always check that the fuel you have on board is enough to get you where you want to go! Thanks to the RNLI for fishing me out!
  8. Halifax BIII departing RAF Stoney Cross on a long range mission. Thanks for viewing
  9. The cellphone and drug delivery drones are a massive problem over here now. short of having guns on the outsides of prisons there's not a lot they can do about them at the moment.
  10. We have a big problem with drones supplying prisons over here as well. The trouble is now that the things are so common it's impossible to control them. They are supposed to be licensed and recorded but of course only law abiding operators do that, the rest of them don't bother and that's the problem. The prices have come down to silly levels so that even kids can buy them. The genie has been let out of the bottle, and it's not going back any time soon. All it needs is some clown to fly one into a sensitive area like Buckingham Palace, Windsor castle, The White House etc whilst carrying explos
  11. Following the ending of filming the last Star Wars movie, the Ewoks applied for new jobs as pilots.
  12. Piper didn't quite get the idea when they were asked to submit a large aircraft design!
  13. They take training at a very young age these days!
  14. Nice to see the old girl flying in distant pastures. The Tin Triangle is one of my favourite rides in FS.
  15. I have 4 different accounts, one under my wifes name, one under my daughters and two different IDs coupled with two different IP addresses as changed SPs over the period between setting them up. Also two different computers so neither of them should have the same ip as far as I know.
  16. You were lucky to get out of that encounter with an undamaged aircraft. Having seen real Humpbacks breaching and mating at sea I can tell you that they make one hell of a splash and the shockwave even made our 27'000 ton ship vibrate! Nicely done.
  17. That's certainly different.
  18. Great freeware package to go with those Buffalo Airways aircraft or any other bush transports for that matter. Northwest territories in Canada is a forbidding place in winter, But Buffalo Joe and the team have an aircraft to fit any occasion. In this case a Basler BT-67, (similar to the Braddick DC-3TP but with a longer fuselage and wings. fsx_hay_river_-_merlyn_carter_airport_nt_for_fsx.zip baslerbt67_buffalo_airways.zip Hope these views will give you a good look at what's on offer. For a freeware package this is better than many payware ones!
  19. Does anyone know what is going on with Photobucket? I have 3 accounts but can only access one of them! It keeps defaulting to the newest one but the older two can no longer be accessed.. Bloody annoying as I have thousands of photos stored on there. Has anyone else had similar issues?
  20. Braddick DC-3TP flying out of Hay River. Great freeware add-on with a superb VC and great visualisation. Delightful to fly and even getting into short strips is fun as you can select reverse thrust just before touchdown and she'll stop on a dime! https://flyawaysimulation.com/downloads/files/15836/fsx-buffalo-airways-braddick-dc3-tp/ Thanks for viewing
